has this ever happend to anyone? it has to be the aac or the the throttle body. but it very strange.

mostly stock. n-42 intake its been on there for a year. lots of miles. has all the stock vacum lines.

1981 280zx turbo. there was anti freeze between my turbo and throttle body.

i thought i blew the headgasket because my car was making the largest whit smoke cloud i have ever seen! but when i took off the head the headgasket was fine. moreover, there was at least 3 cups of pure antifreeze in my charge pipe and in my intake manifold. how is this even possible????? i looked for cracks but i found none. could it come threw my throttle body?

are sure that is safe? i don't know if that is bad. but it cant be good. i have 275 on a 9.5 inch rim. it works. but i need 285. you have a 10 inch rim with 195. the side walls must touching the ground?

im out of town right now. ill be there next week. when i get back i'll tell you where and how to buy them. they do not rub at all. they are completly in the fenders. hadling is nite and day better. but it is hard to brake. it make the brakes hot, then they stop working. so look at braking options. i will start a thred on this. not just tell you to search like some people.

how did you do it? what kind of power does it make?

thanks guys!!! all of your input is great! keep it coming. i just can't get over my thought. to be put simply, if you put the same mount of gas and the same amount of air in a smaller space, you should have a bigger explotion. ie more power. what i really want is a high reving, high flowing n/a, and put a turbo on it. to be honest... i like blowing up my engine. its the only way i learn not to do something. i can swap out a tranny now in a couple of hours. it use to take a week. 4 hours for a head gasket. no one ever tought me anything about cars. i learn all on my own. then i foung this site. it helps to get advice from other z people. thanks guys.

i was running 12psi. it made my car go very fast, but it took forever for the turbo to spool up. and i want to make the same power with less boost. i kind of want to see what it will do. the only reson i know anything about my car is blowing it up and fixing it. its expenssive but it sure is fun. i have a n-42 head in my garage without a cam. what would happen if i put the turbo cam in the n-42, f-54 block and 10 psi. would it HOLD TOGETHER? it sounds fun. it will give me something to do this week.

can you make a l28 with a compression ratio of 10:1? i am trying to make more power with less boost.

i had the same problem. it is most likely a connection problem. i had one lose wire. when you kick you reestablishing the connection. if all the wires fine and clean, "no green stuff", look for what ever is loose in there or get an other one. more than likely its a loose wire. but if you gooing to get an other one you should take it apart and see whats inside. try to learn how it works. you are going to though it away anyways.

here is the best i can do right now between jobs. 1981 280zx turbo so far: n-42 intake bov manuel boost controler 10psi k&n cold air intake fuel press. regulator walbro 255lb fuel pump strait pipe out the back manuel trans. converson form 82' non turbo fidazza flyweel center force duel friction cluch costom drive shalf totiko struts and lowering springs 18' XXR rims 18x7.5 front 18x9.5 in back dunlop drezza tires 225/50/ in front 275/45/18 in back spacers 1.5'' in front 1'' in back one really cool big red start button!!!

ok, just got a boost controller, tubes, boost gauge, air fuel ratio gauge. how much can it handle without an intercooler? how do you put pics on here? i having trouble with that.

were did you get those and what kind of red is that?
