  2. So I was trying to figure out the problem and found that the clutch is working the opposite way, anyone have any idea why is doing this????
  3. is a complete unit and I know for sure that is the right bearing in there.

Hi all, so here is my clutch problem, after installing my l28et/ka24 trans and turbo 280z clutch started making a horroble noise, kinda like a pilot bushing(only when the clutch was release), so I decided to drive it one more time before I pull the tranny out and replace the worn parts, on my way back home it had no clutch pedal whatsoever, put the car on the lift and checked the clutch components and found piston in the slave cylinder was completely out of the cylinder kinda, so I put it back together and bled the the clutch system, and the slave cylinder does the same thing, decided to take the tranny out nd inspect the clutch and found the throw out bearing separated, installed and new clutch setup and throw out bearing to go with (os giken if it matters) installed the tranny back in the car, reposition the piston in the slave cylinder and bled the system again and now it feels like is no releasing the clutch far enough I looked at the clutch petal to set the ajustment on the on the clutch master cyl.(which is new) and is ajusted all the way out, now I dont know what else to try, what do you guys think is the problem here??? the other thing I have in mind is that maybe Nissan have different clutch masters for different applications and the gave me the wrong one. if anyone can help I would really apreciate the imput, thanks... manny.

    Guys I have 2 z33 trans in my garage and I wanted to know if someone makes trans adapter to install the z33 trans to an l28. will appreciate any imput to the subject.

I bought a megasquirt from a member, but I dont know which one is it, since he didnt give me much info on it, I took some pics so you guys can see, and also what else do I need to complete the set up? things that I know I need so far: wiring harness tunning cable relay box relay cable IAT sensor I highly appreciate any coments regarding this megasquirt unit.
  10. Ok here is my set up: Engine: l28et f54, just got rebuild, stock internals, high output oil pump, p90 head ported and decked, 3 angle valve job, 2mm mhg. Drivetrain: 240sx trans, 240mm flywheel and clutch, r200 lsd 3.90. Turbo: holset from 2002 auto truck, just rebuild, ceramic coded,external tial wg, apexi bov, 25" by 12" by 3" intercooler. ECU: running stock electronics, waiting on megasquirt 3.0 Fuel: MSD 90PSI fuel pump, braided lines, aeromotive regulator, 7mgte inectors(440). Exhaust: 3" dp, all the to a 3.5" magnafow turbo muffler. Power: dont know yet, because Im waiting on the megasquirt to get, just put together the engine, only have a mile on the clock.
  11. ok I see yur point clifton, I also think is better idea to bigger but also more money is needed to acomplish(in some cases) but I work in a nissan dealership and we have like 3 vq long blocks and like 6 trans and we just replace a vk56.
  12. so yo are saying u wouldnt do it a 7m again ????? I have a hx35 on my l28et set up right now,bt I was loking into going with a different motor, like a 7m or a 1jz.
  13. the transmission can only handle 18 to 24 launches, the most launches nissan got out that trans was 34.

  16. hi all, I was planning to do a vq35 swap in my 280z but I cant find an engine, for the guys that did or doing the the swap, where can I get a vq35, I have the trans, but no harness or sensor, even though I was planning on standalone, any input will be apreciate...

Im looking for a metal head gasket and I can find one, I was wondering if someone here knows where to get them I have call so far: cometic HKS greddy nismo etc... the only place that has it is kameari and I have to wait a month to see it, because they ship it from japan, any sugestion will be apreciate...
  18. I finally got my block back from the mashine shop, they told me they shave 11 thousands of the deck, my question is what head gasket should I use, Im planning to boost 15psi or more, any comment or opinion is welcome, I will really appreciate...

I took everyting apart and measure the head and block, the head is good but the block surface is not that good, so I sent the block for a cleaning and deck 5 thousands of an inch, they said that shoul be enough to get it straight, as of the turbo, I have the stock t3 unit that is in ok shape(no play) but it leaks oil, Is the t4 compressor housing all I need to make it a to make a t3t4??? can any turbo shop do this???
  21. after the head is cut what head gasket should I use, 1mm or 2mm????
  22. hey guys Im building a l28et out of a 81 280zxt, I was wondering if is necessary to shave the least amount possible of the head and block to have a good surface, and if I do this what head gasket should i use??? this is not going to be a monster build 300hp is plenty for what I want, if somebody can help me I wil really appreciate...

I search all over the fuel delivery and turbo threads and still cant find the answer to my question, has anybody use bigger injectors with the stock ecu and ignition, Im building a l28et with a bigger fuel pump, aftermarket fuel rail etc... if u guys can help me out I will really appreciated...
