  2. I installed a s14 vlsd in my 280z r200 long nose, everything fits ok but I havent installed, can find the right axels to work with it.

Yes, Im in the same situation, this is what I did, I installed an r200v internals from a s14 into my r200 long nose housing, also intalled the r200v halfshaft and in the other end 280zxt flanges, now the problem is I cant find center bars to fit this install, the 280zxt center bars are too long, now I was working on a 99 pathfinder and notice that the front axels are also 6 bolts tripod style and they are shorter that my 280zxt, but I dont know how much shorter, moser whats like 500 bucks for the center bars, is there another solution to this???
  4. I think BunnySlippers is right on the money here, fix the 2.8, drive it and and after you have all the parts for the vg30 swap install it, it would be easier thats just me 2 cents, Im in swaping a vg30det, yes, single turbo in one of my s30, you got to do lots of fab.

  6. they actually dont flow more, and the cams are not more agressive, so on the other hand what you guys think about the haltech platinum???
  7. Yeah, I see your point, I can get a harness for good price, but dont you need BCM, NATS ANT, body harness, and ECU make this run??? thats where the trouble starts, I will have to find everything else to make it work.
  8. I agree 100% with you, there is no point to this, but I have a 3.0l and a 3.5l, but my plan was install the 3.0l timing chain cover on the 3.5l and megasquirt, I thought it would be cheaper plus I have a megasquirt.

  12. Can this be done??? I was thinking of the idea of installing 3.0 heads in a 3.5 bottom end to avoid the cam timing gears and the stock electronics, I wanted to know what was you guys opinions before I get into it.

So I come down to this, Im using a R200, axels, companion flange from a 81 turbo 280zx and a the guts of a 240sx vlsd, after installing the vlsd in the r200 I measure the axel and they are about 14" long comparing to the actual length need to fit, looks like the axel need to be 2" to 3" shorter to get a good fitment, now the question is there a company out there that can provide this kind of service??? axel cutting and welding??? please help, I tryed many local axel shops along with 4x4 shops and the told me it cant be done, any imput or opinion will gladly appreciated.
  16. Who makes a Headers flange for the l28?, right now Im trying to build a turbo headers for my project but cant find who sells this, anyone???

Ok here it is, I was trying to ajust timing on my l28et and found timing at 25 degrees at idle, moving the distribuitor doesnt change the dregrees at all, check the oil pump shaft and it was off, set to like 11 o'clock, started the engine and still at 25 degrees and I cant change it by turning the distribuitor, anyone seen something like this before???
  18. I have to say I waited for the item and never got here, well only part of it made it, it was a three months wait, I think thats a lil' bit to much.

So this is how the story goes, I bought a megasquirt unit from one of our members, the seller said is complete, meaning ecu, harness and sensors, etc. thinking that I was going to have a almost completed megasquirt system to run my z I thought I was getting a deal. After paying the seller the complete amount of money we agree on, the seller said I will ship the megasquirt ASAP, I waited more than 2 months to receive the item and when I open the box I found that it was just the megasquirt ecu, try contacting the seller but he kept avoiding me, so I got tired and told him that I either want the money or the rest of the parts, but that never happen. Now my question is, why is it so hard for some members to be onest??? I will like to give you guys a heads up, just in case someone try to deal with this guy.

  22. Ok, got it, the throw out bearing and sleeve are smaller diameter from os giken.
