  1. Yea I know and everytime I go look at one I am disappointed, and I really hate to say that alot of folks in NC are some LAZY and SHADY!!!
  2. There are several cars in and around NC that I have seen on craigs list that are pretty cheap. The ones I have seen have some really good interiors and strong motors or no motors, however the east coast seems to have eaten the bodies with a knife and fork!!
  3. Well I paid $700 for the car so I couldnt expect to much from the Z, when I pulled the interior I found my horror story. Floor pans bad ( I knew this already) what I didn't know was what looked like a solid fire wall from the outside told a different story from the inside. The tranny tunnel is done, the inner rockers are done, as well as the frame rails. The good, the motor is stout no smoking no knock, tranny is good, seats are good condition not torn. The carpet was in good condition not torn. The only bad parts in the interior were the dash, and one of the rear strut tower coverings was torn. This car will be stripped and sent off to the junkyard for crushing and now I must try and find a better Z to start with. In the end its a sad weekend for me, I had some really good ideas for this car and now they must be put on hold till I can get another shell!!
  4. Thank you very much this is just what I needed, I can tell that I am going to be busy with this for quite some time.
  5. I am a little confused here but I will chime in a little...... Recirculation of the BoV into the intake piping is because of Enviro issues, the excess pressure is vented back into the intake stream which is already calculated for from the ECU to prevent any back pressure being forced on the turbo. BoVs are to help your turbo out really, at mid lvl tuning the stockers run just fine, most people want them because of the supposed cool sound they make. Your right in the fact you really don't need one till you start pushing the envelope because most JDM manufactured BoVs are good for upwards of 400ps. The only problem that might happen with an RB and I have not seen it much is a lean condition becomes present when an atmospheric BoV is introduced. Again this is not so much an RB problem as it is a EJ2X problem. Good luck with your project
  6. I am going to say this once yes the Fcon can, the problem is how many actual certified folks are available to tune the Fcon here in the states.
  7. ROFLMFAO From experience, the 13B-REW is a great motor for a LIGHT tune, when you start pushing the envelope, the margin for error becomes a huge wall with a pinhole in the middle, nothing wrong with them but they are precision pieces of machinery. You either know exactly what your doing, or you absolutely do not touch it, or you get someone who does. Man all these engine post are getting me to the point where I want to just slap a EJ207 out of a JDM STi and go from there.
  8. I am not sure how stout the flashbacks would be, I do know the old school Rotas took plenty of punishment sliding on the mountain sides. If they are still building rims to that specification I imagine they would be pretty stout. My personal preference, Advan RG, sexy and work well, I don't have any proof to show you other than to say I ran them on numerous occasions as Highland and Tsukuba.
  9. Parts for old cars are becomming rare in Japan, thanks to the Recycle nazi's most of the old stock are gone. As for parts in Japan, I have a yahoo Japan account and I can have most parts shipped to my wifes house there and then sent here. As for the FRP parts, most of them are made by some guy that just gets the idea to make that type of stuff and sell on auctions.
  10. I am curious what your after, I know this thread seems dead but it intrigues me. Why the idea of High comp and boost, its standard in WRC but then $$$$$$$ and a huge company to hand em things on silver platters.
