  1. This is good to hear, and definately a worthwile upgrade for me to do even if it does not fix the problem. As for the front bushings there are: control arm, sway bar mount, sway bar endlinks. There are also the tension rods, however I have read that they should be replaced with stock rubber bushings as opposed to the poly bushings because of possible snapping issues. Am I missing any for the front?
  2. Daniel13brx7, what suspension do you have on your S130? The stance looks nice. PS: my other car has a 13B-REW
  3. Every little bump I hit in my S130 makes me feel like the car is going to fall apart. Whenever I hit small pot holes, changing road surfaces, cracks or any imperfections in the road it feels like my suspension is bottoming out. I just got new tires and that has not helped any. I'm almost positive this is due to the shocks, however the rears have been replaced somewhat recently and the car seems to handle good (as good as you would expect a stock S130 to handle). If I push down on any of the corners the suspension responds without any bouncing. Is there anything else that could be causing this poor ride quality, or is it definately worn shocks. I am planning on putting coilovers on the car in the future and if this problem is not shock related then I'm afraid the coilovers will amplify the problem.
  4. Thanks Delerious, I am on there and I know of the vendor you are refering to. I spoke with them before I got my wheels and got a quote for about $1000 shipped.
  5. I say go for it! It will look great! and as long as you dont try and put a 215 on a 10" wheel or anything crazy like that you will be fine.
  6. My S13 swap got put on hold... I found a fantastic deal on a set of Enkei 92's so I picked them up and invested in refinishing them. My coilover budget ended up going into the wheels and tires. I have everything needed to do the swap except the coilovers and tie rods. I plan on saving up for a set of Stance GR+ coils. So for now, I sit back and wait to see how every one else is coming along with their swaps... As you can see, my S130 is in dire need of some coils!
  7. Just finished refinishing my set of Enkei 92's that I picked up off of a member from this forum.
  8. New wheels!!!! Just finished refinishing my Enkei 92's that I picked up off of a member from this forum.
  9. Hmmmmm I had not considered that... It sounded like a rev limiter and I assumed the car had one being EFI. I will have to pull off the valve cover and check everything out this weekend.
  10. So it seems my little run in with the rev limiter may have cleared out the engine and freed up some power. The Z runs smoother and pulls harder than ever I looked through thezstore.com and black dragon auto and I did not see anything related to the throttle linkage... Maybe I just did not look hard enough.
  11. So this morning on my way to work my gas pedal got stuck on the carpet and stuck wide open. The revs bounced of the rev limiter for about 5 seconds while I frantically tried to free the pedal. Once I got the pedal free I noticed that I had no gas at all. I pulled over and saw that my linkage had come apart and one of the plastic ball joints was cracked. There was enough left in the plastic part to hold the linkage, but it definately needs replacing. Can these pieces be purchased seperately somewhere or will I have to get a whole throttle assembly? I made it to work and the engine seemed fine the whole way there... A few seconds bouncing off the rev limiter should not hurt anything would it? I guess I'll find out when I go and start it at lunch.
  12. Work in progress... From this: To this: I still need to polish the face and spokes, only the lips done so far. These will be going on my S130.
  13. New shot from yesterday. I have started gathering parts to do the S13 front suspension swap so I can run coilovers... A little photoshop trickery for now
  14. Very nice! Do you have final ride height measurents, front and back?
  15. I just picked up S13 spindles, hubs, calipers, and rotors. Now I need to find myself a nice set of coilovers.
  16. Also, are you still using the stock 280zx hubs, rotors, and calipers? or are the S13 hubs needed and possibly some other brakes? so from what I can gather the parts needed are: S13 Coilovers S13 spindles Early 90's Maxima ball joints Custom adapter am I missing anything?
  17. I am shooting with a Canon XSi. I purchased the camera this past October and it was my first DSLR. My best friend is an automotive photographer so I have picked it up pretty fast. Most of my shots were taken with the Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L USM lens. I mainly shoot with prime lens'. I also have 4 speedlites which I use to light the car. Congratulations on you new Z!!
  18. I love the color! It is perfect for this car! I cant wait to see how you pull off the airdam, that will be really cool.
  19. My steering wheel is from MSA as well. The install is very basic and straight forward. The car really does not have much done as far as modifications.
