  1. the viper in the first vid dyno's 640 to the wheels on the bottle and in that race i was running 9 psi
  2. 416 at 9 lbs. Pretty sure its inacurate though because at low boost (5 lbs) i run away from by friends 3.4 liter blower built c5 vette which makes 525 to the wheels with his low boost pulley on (10 lbs). Going by my super accurate butt dyno id guess somewhere in the relm of 560-580 or so at 11 lbs
  3. I didnt really like the outcome of the race. The car spins clean thru third gear and the bottom of fourth, sooo some 255/50-16 mickey thompson radial are in my future. Also going to an 80mm turbo along with a cam in an attempt to wake up the motor in upper rpms. btw the chase car/ camera car in the vid is a 450 or so wheel hp s2000
  4. z at 11psi losing by 1 and a half cars. 60 to 160 vs a 2j swapped 9.5 second 240sx
  5. gmpp's asa cam has a nasty idle, if the idle is what you are after choose a cam with a numerically low lsa (114 or lower)
  6. 80-180 roll, viper has boltons+200 shot. Z is on 9 psiI lost but i was still impressed with the cars performance
  7. I'm using their 2-row radiator and it seems to be doing the trick. Overall im happy with it even tho leadfoot sent me the wrong one twice before i got the right one.
  8. I also used the mac shorty's as the were the only headers i could find to fit.
  9. Ive been told by a few people that the #7 cyclinder naturally is the hottest on gen 3 engines and if you block off the tubes it amplifies the heat issue. Hot cyclinder=detonation= above pictured piston.
  10. Are your steam tubes blocked?( aluminum tubes that run from one head to the other)
  11. Ive seen them on civics, supras, 240sx's ect.. but never on a 240z. There might not be enough space next to the z tank
  12. Was wondering if anyone has installed on of these on a s30z car? Ive heard them on a few high hp turbo cars and they are very quiet. The can seems a little large and i would like to know if it will fit before i shell out $220. Any pictures or input would be greatly appreciated.
  13. well..... i got the car to start and it was leaking fuel from the fuel rail, oil from the adapter above the oil filter and coolant from the thermostat housing . Also seems that the spark plug on cyclinder 1 doesnt seal properly:fmad:. I'm hoping i dont need to pull the head to fix it. Other than the above mentioned its going well, i figure about 3 weeks until i get the radiator, cooling fans and surge tank sorted. then hopefully off to the dyno:)
  14. Thats what i had in mind, im assuming that is a 3 inch dp pictured. Anything special needed to make it fit or any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks
  15. as of now its only about a foot and a half long and dumps in front of the crossmember. Plans are to run it between the crossmember and motormount and run it to the rear of the car
  16. The headers and the "y" pipe are painted with vht exhaust high temp paint. Not sure how well it will hold up but it sure looks good now! You can't see it in the picture but i also put on a dei titanum turbo blanket which looks and fits great, probably one of the lowest profile turbo blankets ive seen yet
  17. Also need to get intercooler and cold piping situated.
  18. have pretty much everything i need as far as hard parts go. Just a matter of finding time to install the remaining parts (starter, harness, fuel pump, gauges, ect...).
  19. If it runs half as good as it looks i will be happy.
  20. the truck header did not fit(the hit frame rails). I used mustang 5.0 unequal length header mated to ls1 flanges with 2.5 inch crossovers feedind a t76:mrgreen:.I will post more pictures as soon as i can
