  1. Thanks again for the advice!! Especially coming from experience. I will probably make the transfer in the fall of 04 and continue onto an ME degree, since i am in position to where i will not have lost any time.
  2. Thanks for the advice i will probably take Cal III later. Now i know it is very important to review the topics for other courses. I will pass Cal II but i don't have a solid feel for it like i am used to having. Math is usually one of my strong points, even though i will probably get a B, i know i am slipping up. I am not used to doing problems and following steps without understanding completely the concepts behind them. i am going to take a light semester, ......by the way my Major currently is Control Systems Enginneering Technology(which only requires Cal II). I really want to get an Industrial engineering degree or ME degree so for those Cal III is required, plus i will have to switch schools.
  3. How would you guys compare Cal II to Cal III? I am thinking of taking Cal III this semester but i feel i didn't get enough out of Cal II and will probably have to go back over it on my own. I will pass Cal II this semester but i just don't get some of it. I can do the problems but i don't understand some of the concepts. Does it matter to know infinite series and stuff when attempting multi variable Calculus
  4. Nah' date=' a knife is much cheaper, it is reusable. Or a guillotine. I say make a slow moving guillotine that the person lays on their back to watch move down at them. [/quote'] Using the same knife would be unhealthy!! They could catch a diesease or something!!
  5. Real Rice!!!! Hybrid CRX!
  6. Yeah it kinda does doesn't it. Luv that rear end, looks way cool with circle tailights!!
  7. Here are some very interesting pics........ http://www.stupidfastboats.com/vette2
  8. i have a stock 280z and at 70 i am over 3000rpm mark.......seems like it is ok. a 240z has a 4th gear of 1.00 too but with a 3.36 diffy. so if your calculations are right i don't think that sounds so far fecthed, but then is a V8 we are talking about here not a displacement deficent L-motor.
  9. From what i read the Z driver is very experienced and has a porsche of his own, Rumor has it that the license plate frame on his porsche says "I'd rather be driving my Z" Weather he means that or not i don't know.
  10. Outstanding L6 Z driver........... http://www.opentracking.com/240ZvsZ06.mpg I don't know if that is actually a Z06 with a bad driver or what. I think both motors have thier trade offs, personally i would rather have the V8 or L28et, because you can "feel" the performance.(wheather or not it is better).

Don't forget to add those 32" subwoofers and stereo amps to the car. Installing a high dollar stereo system will improve your center of gravity and give you 100/100 wieght distribution, way better than the 50/50 everyone shoots for. Overall improveing you handling! You'll soon be giving those 911 turbos some ebarrassments for sure!!
  16. I am planning on the L28et swap and i have a budget simular to yours. With the L28et you can get good power for cheap, and can achieve those hp numbers your looking for.
  17. There is an example of why I am glad the moderators here are controlling the quality of this wonderful site. Choosing between a neon and a Z06 corvette? who the H-E-double hockey sticks interested in performance is going to even ponder that question!!!! I would hate to have stuff like that going on here. Thank you moderators for watching out for this site and keeping it resourceful.
  18. Another main reason i go turbo is cause of my lack of mechanical experiance, and the ease to the swap. I would really like to do a v8 swap but getting enough dough is the main prob.' Especially since I may have to get someone else to do it, cause i don't have much time on my hands. My dream Z has a camaro t5 tranny with a old vette's 327.....(drool)l But since $$$ is a major pita and with like 3 grand tops for my budget I have no choice but to do an L 28et swap and keep my existing tranny. Personally i see nothing wrong with the NA motor, I had one for some time with headers and all and they are real fun. 170rwhp is still alot in a Z, and the sweet sound of a built up NA motor is cool.
  19. I never get tired of watching it. http://darius240z.com/videos/240z.mpeg
  20. $1500 is just a set of triple webers and nowhere near 300hp. Turbo is the way to go for big Hp.
  21. Thats what I thought since the transmission is mounted in the rear with the vette (I think)? Hmmmm...... I bet that conversion gets Pricey. What have you guys spent on your V8 conversions? What engines did some of you guys use? Are your happy with them? I am probably not going to do the 3.1L conversion on my 240Z. After reading around a little I will probably look for a carburated SBC for my 73'.
  22. Thanks I'll use that search right away. Wow! LS1/6 from the C5 corvette?! I didn't think that was possible. I'm a big fan of that engine.
