Yasin: It's a great car! Could you give a summary of how your car has evolved since the article? I am guessing that your individual posts may have covered the evolution but if you added a quick summary here, it would be linked to the information in the magazine article. I believe you bought one of John Coffey's carbon fiber hoods (is it on?) but I don't recall other changes. As a ZX owner, I'm ALWAYS interested in what you are doing to it. It's inspiring! John

This article about Dan Juday’s gorgeous car appeared in Kit Car Builder magazine but I don’t know the date. Someone must know the date (note to self: add dates to all articles being saved!). Dan - were any other articles published about the car? Here are two articles, one from Popular Hot Rodding (4 pages – May, 1978) and the other from Peterson’s Creative Customizing book from 1978 (10 pages). Keep in mind that both were written a long time ago - styles and tastes change over nearly 30 years. The yellow highlighted areas and underlining are just areas that were of interest to me when I obtained the articles - I have stopped making permanent marks in articles that I save. I found the article and the book through this thread. I believe that the Hot Rod article mentioned is not of the Evel Eagle but rather an article that I already posted to Hybrid, since the months/year of the articles are the same. I like your idea of integrating your trailer hitch into the bumper. I've been thinking about cutting much of my existing bumper away so that it is tucked tight to the bodywork. As you said, it won't protect from the big one but then most bumpers are only good for 5 mph anyway. Having a trailer hitch allows for a bike rack, a small trailer or, as I saw on one Z at the MSA show some years ago, a custom BBQ grill that attached via the hitch when the car was parked. I don't know how practical that was but it brought a grin to my face. Keep us posted on your progress. John

Afshin: Do you still have the red turbo 280ZX? Auxilary mentioned he thought he saw it at the ZONC show which made me wonder if you still had it. If it wasn't your car at the show then I guess the old saying about the sincerest form of flattery applies. Wow! That was quite a story about the cab and your serious injuries. I'm glad you made it through it. John

This five page article was written by a member of the Z Car Club of Colorado and was published in Sports Car Illustrated. I don't know the date but I am guessing about 10 years ago. John
