  1. I have a 1981 turbo engine and I'd like to swap a 1975 non EGR manifold for a cleaner look. I have two questions,first, I have a Greddy relief valve with about 1 1/4" threads tapped into the back of my present manifold(81) was this stock or tapped in? My 75 does not have this large hole. Second, I would like to saw off and polish a lot of the (standoffs) on my 75, will I get "into" the manifold if I do this? Thanks!
  2. Sooo, my 73 has horizontal bolts, will say,a 1975 trans x member work with a non turbo 5 speed?
  3. I'm planning on useing a stock 1981 thru 1983 wiring harness and Nistune on a fairly stock engine( 60mm TB, .57 trim turbo,41mm wastgate, 12x8x4 intercooler, Z31dist,2mm head gasket). I'v heard the stock harness is slightly better on the 81, is this true? will it matter with the Nistune? Any thoughts for injectors-fuel rail for this setup? how much boost would I have to run to get 275 to 300hp(my goal)? WAADaya think?
  4. Will a 1975 trans x member work on my 1973? I'm putting in a "stock" 5 speed from a 1981 280zx. I'm to the point of welding in new floor pans and I would like to brace up the trans tunnel area (my 73 project didn't have a trans xbrace in it). Thanks to all the guys have helped on this site, the amount of knowledge and fab skill floating around here is pretty amazing.
  5. I would like to install the original hubcaps on my 73 but would like to use lighter alum wheels, does anyone know of a supplier that makes a wheel that would accept the hubcap? Maybe screw them on? Trying to keep the stock look on my 73 turbo conversion. Thanks for the info!
  6. I never had a 73 tank, will the 75 tank hang lower (show more under the rear valance)than a 73? Thanks
  7. I bought a 1975 EFI fuel tank for my 1973 240z conversion. I did a test fit of the tank and it didn't fit very well at all, it hung down very low and didn't fit very well on the left side at all! Any suggestions? I thought other than the straps this was a good fit? Maybe back to the 240 tank with a sump. Thanks!
  8. I've been out of painting for several years. I'm going to have my 240 painted by a shop with dual stage paint, I'm thinking about doing my engine bay(myself) and jams with single stage. I am planning to spot paint rust in the engine bay with ZERORUST and shoot with single stage, do I need sandable primer after the Zerorust? Thanks for info! What brand -type of products? Thanks!
