  1. I currently have 2 Z's 75 280Z - Rebuilding a seized motor for it to be my dd. 88 300ZX - Rebuilding + turbo swap when I'm done with the 75 I used to have an 85 na, then an 87 na, then an 85 turbo.
  2. Nice buy. Looks from the pictures that your definitely going to need to replace the rear quarter window seals. And be sure to check the spare wheel well and driver side rear for water damage. Pretty easy to do, done it on 3 of the 4 Z31's I've had. I'm getting more and more motivation to get my 88 running again, and turbo swap while I'm at it. Just need to get my 75 going first.
  3. Looks like your making pretty good progress. Keep it up, and good luck with the ignition gremlins.
  4. Fix the 2.8 and drive it until you have everything you need for the VG30DE swap. Heck, then you could sell a running motor to help with the VG swap expenses. You just need to figure out what you want to do. First you asked if you should junk it, then you said that you are not going to. Sit down and figure out what you want to do and make a budget for it.
  5. Your going to junk a car over a bent valve? Or do a complete motor swap that you don't fully know how to do? Why not just fix the small problem of the bent valve..? The car would sell much easier if it was fixed. Or you could drive it still.
  6. 91 octane is the best I can get regularly here in Phoenix. I went and took a look in my storage unit today, which is full of Z31 parts, and got to thinking. Maybe I could just throw on a set of 3.0 injectors along with running 91.. I'm on a pretty severe budget to get the car going right now.
  7. So I'm in the process of rebuilding an L28 (N42 block and head) That ran out of oil and cooked the #6 rod to the crank. I'm going to be picking up a crank, and rod + piston assembly from a junkyard soon. I'm wondering if it might be worth it to pick up a whole set of pistons and rods from an 81-83 while I'm there.. I'm looking for information on this piston swap. Would I have to run high octane? Is there re-tuning involved? etc, etc, etc. Basically I just want any and all info on this set up from people that have had experience with it. Thanks much.
