Went to replace the rear wheel bearings on my Z and found this! Looks like the previous owner cut off the old bearing and took part of the stub axle with it. Please send me a PM if you have one. There are pairs on eBay but I don't need a set nor the companion flange or other parts. Just the stub axle. Thanks.

Question about a SpeedHut Tachometer Swap on a 1970 240Z
JMF 240 replied to JMF 240's topic in S30 Series - 240z, 260z, 280z
Here are the Instructions from SpeedHut Tach. The issues I'm having is I lost power to the ignition. I have lights, blinkers, and the car will turn over but there is no ignition power. The issue I'm trying to figure out it how to complete the circuit loop that I seemed to have "broke" by removing the original Tach if that makes sense. I believe I need to connect the two wires on the other end of these two white wires (ones with a red band and one with a black band). Does this sound correct? Of course, I'll need to remove my dash again to get access to the original stock tach plug to do this. I will be connecting the single tach (yellow) wire on the SpeedHut gauge to the XDI Electromotive EMS. So I think I have that covered. I hope this all makes sense. -
Hello, I have a '70 240z that I upgraded all my gauges on. I heard I needed to connect 2 of the 4 wires that feed the Tach together to make sure I complete the circuit when I replace it with a new (SpeedHut) gauge. Does anyone have experience with this and can help identify what two wires in the wire harness I need to splice together? Thanks,

I think the best option here is to go on ebay and find a non working tail light assembly you can cut up.

Searched round and did not find anything on Speed Hut Gauge conversion for a 1970 240z. Can someone reccommend a good write up on this please? Thanks, -
Just finishing up my Stage 4 Engine and Engine Bay Restoration from Datsun Spirit in Virginia. Lots of engineering in the engine but only using L-Series components. However, using modern electronics and ignition for reliability and performance. Kameari Headers and Exhaust. R200 Diff, T3 Coilovers, Disc Brake Upgrades (Nissan parts). 300ZX Half Shafts, triple 44 Mikuni's, etc

For my money I would go Datsun Spirit ITB. They seem to have the whole package integrated with control unit, tuning and system. It's one thing to get the unit but then you need to integrate it and then tune/optimize based on your engine. I think that is where Datsun Spirit is different than the other cookie cutter systems. There systems is designed and engineered just fo the L-Series. Here is a video of the dyno with their ITB.

Hello, I'm looking for a specific part to complete my S30 brake conversion to 1990 240SX rear disc brakes. Specifically the ebrake cable stay that bolts to the 240sx rear caliper. This part is not longer sold by Nissan individually (it used to be) and to purchase it now one needs to buy the whole caliper. Even then, so many cores are returned without them that they are hard to come by. Silvermine motors sells the bracket for a Maxima brake conversion but not for the 240SX caliper. Does anyone know where I can find one or even the dimensions so I can perhaps make one? See attached picture it's the large Zinc bracket. Thanks, JMF
