CUBAN replied to innerware's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
i think they would look cool... offset should be like 40+ if i remember correctly. To me its a good price, only other thing you would need are spacers which you can get from http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=6&PHPSESSID=2099d5ea2876cd3603681c0f3814a39f for $215. Hope i was of some help to you. Alex -

thanks for answering my questions. just a couple more. can you stick a bigger tire in there without rubbing, or is that the biggest tire you can fit. because i wanted to have something like a 245/40-45/18 in the front and 295/40-45/18 in the back. also do you have any more pics of your car? looks greatthanksalex

they look great on your 280zx. i hope you don't mind but i some questions for you. how do they fit? as in like do they rub? did you need spacers? what backspace are you running? did you roll the fenders? did you have to modify anything to make them fit? what size tire do you have? is the ride bouncy or is it better or worse than stock? sorry for all the questions just im looking at getting some 18's for my 280zx and i want to get as much info as i can before i decide if i do get 18's or not.thanksalex

the flares are 3-1/2 inches in the back and 2-1/2 in the front, can you guys give me an idea of around how much backspacing i would need? would the wheel shop me able to do all the measurements and install the coilovers for me? thanks alex

the Tokico Illumina Adjustable Strut i found on the modern motorsport website http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=31&PHPSESSID=2099d5ea2876cd3603681c0f3814a39f so to run a 10 inch wide wheel out back i would need the coilovers? ok, would the ground control coilcovers be good for this? or should i go with a smaller width in the back like an 9? or should i just go with 8 all around? thanks very much for your help alex

hey i was looking at the victoriabritish steel street flares and was wondering if anyone had any pics of these installed on a 280zx. also i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me figure out how wide of a wheel i would be able to fit with those flares and the Tokico Illumina Adjustable Strut? i want to run a 10 wide wheel out back and an 8 up front, would that be possilbe with these flares and coilovers? would those be better or the ground control coilovers? i've read some posts saying that the ground controls are very good. sorry if this has been asked before but i did do a search but wasnt finding what i needed to know thanks very much alex

CUBAN replied to CUBAN's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis

would these fit on a 280zx?
CUBAN replied to CUBAN's topic in Brakes, Wheels, Suspension and Chassis
well i want to upgrade them because i want it to handle better. im not using the car for auto-cross or anything. just a daily driver. but if i get the 18's i want, might as well get the big brake kit. to help stop the bigger wheels. but i mainly just need some new rear brakes. this car isn't going to be raced or anything. i just want it to handle better. the reason i wanted some brembo brakes is because i know their good brakes and could get some for my 280zx. here is the link to where i saw the brembo's on a 280zx http://www.hybridz.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=19226&highlight=brembo+brakes i liked the look of them. but i wonder if my 15 inch enkeis will still fit over them. thanks alex
