  1. life is not like a box of chocolates, it is like eating jalepenos, what you do today can burn your A** tomorrow.
  2. Awesome, expected price? Im ready and waiting to buy as soon as they are ready to be sold.
  3. if you are dating a girl and she is the "normal" "good" one in her family....RUN, run while you can. she is a ticking time bomb of crazy.
  4. I plan on using a set of R34 tails. Why? because I like the look of how the size is staggered on the lights. and I think mounted right they will look pretty darn good.
  5. yokohama S drives are pretty good. been running them a year on a ranger with lost of spirited driving and they work great dry, above average in wet, but stay away from snow and ice.
  6. I would be willing to get 2 with the car and 2 without. or just 4 if it only offered one way.
  7. I am eagerly awaiting the ability to get a couple stickers.
  8. Weird, what brake pads are you guys running to have issues when it is wet out? I have run everything from factory to custom big brake set up on my ranger with stock, wanna be performance and hawk HPS pads and never had issues with no backing plates front or rear.
  9. Gettingthe Z I am buying from mattman shipped to my buddies house to wait until I get back from the middle east. I already have been using my combat pay to get stuff. Like the car, VQ30DET, intercooler, turbonetics T04E, 6speed, JWT flywheel, APR GTC300, and some other stuff. Should be a fun ride once I get home and put it together.
  10. I vote to make both with and without the s30 outline on the sticker. I would get one with for my netbook, and tool box and a couple without for the car and other stuff.
  11. Mainly its going to get used to do a custom widebody on a 240 and some less essential brackets. and maybe to tack weld a roll cage, I will leave critical welding to the pros for now. Lots of practice before I get close to a car with it though.
  12. Backyard tire fire- jimmy and bob and jack opiate for the masses- burn you down, black book A.F.I.- medicate lots of good stuff out there depending on what you like
  13. Well I am 25, dont know when but I always liked the funky/goofy/cool look of the old datsuns. But I have always needed a truck, so my daily driver is a 2003 ford ranger thats dropped on 20s with mustang cobra brakes and a stereo. What is going to be waiting at my frieds house soon is a 71 240Z that I am getting from mattman, along with the Z there is a vq30det, 6speed, turbonetics t04e, and lots of other parts to make it quick. Itll be a slow build because I want it to be right. and then I will have my own funky/goofy/cool datsun finally.
  14. Ok, what I need to find out is how wide is it between some body lines. specifically the im gonna call it "door handle" body line and the upper line of the rear fender. I have an idea but need to know that width before I can find out if it is possible. thanks. *EDIT* this is for a 240Z sorry Iforgot that part.
  15. Yeah, it is used. I figured if it has any issues I will take it up to the motor pool when the snap on guy stops by and have him take a look for me. Mostly going to use it for sheet metal and some stuff maybe up to 1/8in. anything heavier and I will probably tack weld spots and take it to a pro until I really get good.
  16. So I picked up a snap on/blue point 110 mig welder for $100. anyone have any experience with them? I have arc welded before but never mig so I didnt want to get anything to expensive to start with. Then moving around with the army I never know if I will have 220 so I have to stick with 110 for now.
  17. Im down for a sticker, I want one for my netbook since it is going to get used for tuning the Vq going into my 240
  18. hmm, well lets see.... 1. extended cab f150 2. subaru wrx 3. mercedes SLK 4. 1970s ford GT 5. 1947 willys jeep 6. fully built datsun 240Z 7. chopped, channeled, sectioned, Z'd, 36 ford truck with a SCoT blown flathead
  19. Well what I have been looking at on the fuel system is first get it running stock in the datsun with a bosch 044 pump. once I go to upgrade it'll either be 680 or 750cc injectors, with custom fuel rails, an adjustable rising rate FPR, 1/2in feed line, 3/8 return, -8an fittings on the feed side and -6an on the return side. either going to sump the stock tank or run a surge tank, or if money allows a sumped cell from summit.
  20. Well I know one swap was started but hasnt been finished. it should fit all behind the crossmember and I picked up a spare on from a member on here to modify outside of the vehicle and add in oncI pull the stock motor and start putting the new one in.
  21. lol, the seats are probably worth more than the car anymore. that thing is ugly.
  22. Its a VQ not a VG, a little newer, little lighter, and a little more power. I already got one of the shifter locators from 240hoke. The engine was pulled froma running y33 gloria in japan with 86000 kilometers on it. the company I got it from was Jhot imports in dallas. they come highly reccomended from all the guys in dallas that have done JDM swaps. *edit* and the spoiler I got for cheap and it is rated to a speed of 160mph average on track. new price is 1400 and I picked it up for 1/3rd of that because it got a small din during shipping. Call me ricer or whatever but a wing like this if set up properly will work better than something like the zcc sparrow tail. plus it gives me the adjustability. its all preferences.
  23. Yeah but we can rest assured that if he daily drives that mustang much the top end and turbos are gonna be trashed from all the crap the suck in with no filters.
  24. Ok, I started a post under the members projects area. I will only update this thread with info about mounting, wiring, and plumbing the vq30.
