Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a great deal, I'll give it some thought. Right now I was just trying to get something really basic just to have something on it. Can you post a pic though?

I need a set of cheap wheels and tires for my 240 Z. It's sitting in my driveway right now with bent rims and flat tires and code enforcement doesnt like that very much:icon56:

 

I can pick them up pretty much anywhere in the Sac County or Solano County areas. Free to good home would be nice

[Redoing interior.. what's this rubbery plastic stuff?]

I have a 1970 240z.. Getting ready to start on my interior as part of the reZurection. I noticed this rubbery plastic stuff that is kind of a coating over the transmission tunnel. I imagine it is some sort of sound and/or heat insulator. I'd figure it wise to leave it there, but it is starting to break away under the console area. Should I just leave it as-is and re-carpet over it, or should I strip it all away and replace it with something else? Anyone discover this when doing the interior of their Z and have any advice?

[4bbl starting problems]

I have a 4bbl set up, got everything hooked up, but im having a problem getting it to actually fire up. I been messing with the timing an every once in a while it will either back fire threw the carb or out the back, but not run. Im not sure how to get it up an going, any ideals? an if your in the sacramento area, i wouldnt mind having a lil help.

 

I see this thread just got bumped. You still having this trouble? I had similar behavior before when I was trying to get my truck running after putting it back together and had the timing 180deg out. That will cause backfires and backfires through the carb, and can also appear to be timed properly if you have your wires mixed up.
