  1. Hey guys, just excited about have my car restored. It leaves 06/23/04 to be restored. My car is in really good shape (just rolled over 69k orig) but I'm taking it in to have it rust proof'd and then address the paint and body. When it comes to paint, what have you guys done? Like have you done a base coat with a clear? What has worked for you? boost on
  2. say How do you like the Fender mirrors VS the usuall door mirror's? Pro's and con's? boost on,
  3. yeah it does, thanks for the info boost on

  5. Sumo. or Anyone else. So when switching to R-134, you mentioned Bigger condesor. has anyone hung a bigger condensor on their car? and what was it? Well I do appreciate the help .. from all aspects. just wondering what others had done to their Z. thanks for the help, boost on
  6. Sorry if this is a repost. I couldn't find the info searching. Wanting to convert my Ac over to 134. I have a 77280z. I've heard some say to replace the pump and drier, and I've heard others say to just use and air compressor to blow out the old oil and freon and go back in with new oil and 134. I just want some nice cold AC So tell me whats up and what my best options are. thanks and boost on
  7. You know what I say GO FOR IT man! Isn't that what this forum is all about?? Granted you may suffer from some setbacks, but we will all learn about creating a better car. Heck we may be even using mods that you have to develop to get your car there. I look forward to seeing what you do to smooth the lines on your Z. So keep us posted! boost on
  8. now thats a tricky tricky head... wonder if we can get one???

  10. I'd hang it on if it were available...........
  11. Well I would Advise Against it. Drive the car while working on it? And we are dealing with some decent to serious rust. We all know that you will find more rust than anticipated. You want to do a good job right? Its possible to do a one floor board a day. Hard though if you have serious rust. What if You can't get it off the lift that day? Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to sound so pesismistic about the Job, With plenty of planning I think you can do it, just be careful! boost on,
  12. Well basically you would have more air than fuel in the system with the additional Oxygen, it needs to be measured by the MAF so the computer can add more fuel. If Anything you would want to run that to the exhaust side of the turbo to make it spool faster......then you might have some possibilities.... but hey isnt' that why they have Nitrous??? Boost On,
  13. lemme know about the IC when you get around to it.......IF you are getting rid of it. boost on,
  14. want to touch the shiny Z car momma!
  15. Hey I just had to throw my 2 bits in on this. I think what constitutes a "Rice bucket" are the cars that are setup to look fast but can't back it up aka Posers. Lots of different tastes out there which is no prob, but all show and no go is what I think is a waste. Another thought... if we aren't ricers then are we Hot Rodders? hehehe Whats in a name....... Boost on, Johnny
  16. sorry thats a 30lb injector. The part number should read E5ZE-A3B on the side of the injector. boost on, Johnny
  17. Thats a beautiful dash, wondering about putting it into my 280. I vote for the Dash Idea and other interior replacements or accents, and the chin spoilers. Maybe even weight savings type stuff...you know cut out the bad, bolt in the new type thing.... just an idea Boost on, jvanen
  18. Hey I say why not? If he has the tools and time to do it (which he does)and just needs the material..... LIke us he is using what is "available" yet trying to keep the door open to potential. I think you should check out these other TT L6 setups though. We single turbo guys won't be able to help you much. good luck, Boost on,
  19. Hey What Dual Gauge pod will fit my 77? Do they even make one? What are you guys using and how is the fit and finish on it? I want to keep my interior looking nice and clean. boost on, John

  21. Hey guys I have a stock 83zxt in my 77. Under heavy boost it will fall flat on its face. If I put it in first and take off, right when it hits about 4 grand lose all power if the accelerator is wide open. If I bring it back to about 1/2 way it will continue to boost with no problems. I didn't have this problem before I put my new bosch 255lph fuel pump on. Any Ideas of what it might be I pulled the spark plugs out and they are really white....it seems that it is leaning out I dont' know, maybe I have more than one problem here. Boost on, jvanen
  22. Thanks sleeper for the info.
  23. Hey guys I have a stock Turbo motor in my 77. Dialing this thing up is deffinitely in the future for this car. I was thinking about doing the JSK conversion with the 450cc Dsm injectors. With me running stock right now will I still be idling fine or will I be flooding it out? Let me know what my options are. boost on.....
  24. I finally found my problem....It was my Throttle positioning sensor. I got it taken care of and it runs like a champ!! Thank you for the help. I got a lot of stuff eliminated that might be causing trouble. Z ya later John
