  1. i have a 1980 280zx. is there a better way to prime my oil gallerys, than taking out my plugs and cranking the engine over.>?????
  2. big negative............. dont fit, not long enough. same four bolt pattern though.
  3. does any body know if a cv axle out of a 72 240z will fit in my 81 280zx??????
  4. lack of back pressure maybe . try restricting half or so of your exhaust with plate. ill bet that it idles. another thing could be heat disapation those headers are gonna let the head cool alot faster and in turn your intake side will cool also. this is gonna mess with the mixture a little bit. you will probably also need to adjust your set up. also make sure that you didnt pinch any wires, or mess up any sensor or sending units upon instalation of your new header set up. you may also try hotter or colder rated spark plugs, this might help as well.
  5. The fastest way to tell is by looking at the passenger side of the block towards the rear of the engine, right at the top, just before the head. there should also be an identification plate for the car- engine series - HP - the family s30- and the displacement. this plate is on the passenger side strut tower next to the engine.
  6. I was thinking that too, there is some faulty electrical work under the hood. like the plug to the TPS is missing and they stuck the wires in there in some random order hoping the would be right. cant find a diagram that tells me enough info to make sure they are good...
  7. my 86 300zx will not rev up past 2800 or so RPM! I dont get it ive drained the computer and ive manually cleared the codes. nothing is working this time.... it was this way when i got it. i let it sit without a battery in it fir a month. started her up one day to move her, and it revved up just fine........... and now the problems back. does anybody know a z31 genius???????
