  1. I replaced the stock 370Z diff cover with a Nismo one, and got it bolted and torqued to the subframe.
  2. So is the fuel tank recessed below, and that is an access panel for filling? I’ll look into the black box as I’ll be running a fuel return as well. Hadn’t thought of offsetting the tank for balance, thanks.
  3. Decided to go with the ATL 12 gallon, just ordered it. It’s 10”. Will need to build a frame for it, should be good little project to practice some more welding.
  4. Thanks. That’s the fuel cell that came with the car, it’s too big (20 gal) and I don’t like it mounted on top of hatch floor. Going to explore Black Friday deals, thinking of going with an ATL because of the bladder and other safety features and I’ll recess it down as far as I can, hopefully it’ll sit flush. Trying to decide if I should go with 10 gal or 12 gal, 12 gal is a little cheaper for whatever reason. I should burn approx 5 gal a session at Sebring, the track I’ll frequent most.
  5. Waiting on a few parts, but worked on the rear suspension. I cut out a rear strut bar that was welded in and started prepping to install the rear shocks. Also test fitted the rear differential, almost ready to bolt up.
  6. Got a lot of the rear track attack kit put together today. It went together pretty well, their videos are very helpful. Only minor issue was these lock washers being too big, just ground them down a bit.
  7. Good list, I went with the track Attack kit And a 370Z diff (R200). I went with the Bull Dog Frame rails as they can go over the existing frame rails. They are still in the box though, I’ll install those after I install the rear suspension.
  8. Thanks. I ordered a can, I’ll see where I can squeeze some in. Also Apex rear suspension got here today, going to get to started on that this weekend. 🤗
  9. Went to town with a wire wheel and got the complete underside cleaned and painted today. Ready to start working on the rear suspension, hopefully it arrives soon. Can you tell where my phone was sitting, 😅 Didn’t take some pics but here’s a vid of before and after I posted.
  10. Looks good, you’re making some fast progress.
  11. Wow, sounds like a lot of work, but will look so good.
  12. There is still a few around (I’m not one of them). I’ve gotten some good advice. At least this site is still up, the 370Z site just went down a few weeks ago, ugh.
  13. Got the u-joints sorted. I could not get it off, ended up cutting it off and buying a new U-joint. Quadruple checked they were in phase before attaching this time 😅. Also got pedals finished, should put them in tomorrow.
  14. Got a few small projects done. Got rid of the weird clutch pedal contraction. Ordered a brake pedal to be my clutch pedal. Had to trim it down as it was for an automatic. Welded on the side clip for the clutch slave cylinder and took all the pedals out and painted. Also cleaned the underside some more, I want to get that painted soon.
  15. Will do. I’m going to go with some wide wheels and tires up front, somewhere between 305s up to 325s. With all that rubber the power steering will be a huge help.
  16. You are 100% correct, thanks for pointing that out. You don’t know what you don’t know. The new steering kit lets you attach the u-joint in any configuration, I wasn’t even thinking there was a right and wrong way to install them. Quick google search and see what you mean and how to align them properly. Glad to be able to fix now, rather than find out later, love everyone’s help on this forum.
  17. Got the electric power steering installed. You have to the-use original shaft that ties into the steering rack, was a huge PIA to get out of the upper universal joint and into the new one. Got brake pads in, ordered some brake fluid.
  18. I’m shooting to have it ready by about this time next year, 2 years from when I bought it, so the 240Z won’t be ready. But I am planning to do Sebring a few times January through April, probably in my 370Z (I’ve taken my Tesla there a few times too). I’ve never done an SCCA track day, I’ve always gone there with Chin. Let me know if you sign up, I’ll look into it. I would love to see your car and get some ideas tips to finishing mine.
  19. Thanks, will do. I’m hoping to get a good amount done this weekend, and my apex rear suspension kit should be coming in soon.
  20. Good point, we’ll see when I get it together on fitment, looks like a good option if this doesn’t work.
  21. Got a few goodies today, first I found a cool bracket that can allow me to use a hydraulic set up for the clutch, it’ll let me get rid of the weird mechanical set up someone rigged up. Second was an impulse buy, while getting the turn signal/light switch and relay they had this emergency power stop button and solenoid.
  22. Got a little bit of time in the garage today. Got most of the front brake plumbing done, just waiting on the lines I ordered for the master cylinders. Also ordered this steering column mounted lights/turn signal switch and relay set. Will help with the wiring as I’ve tossed everything out.
  23. Honestly not sure yet on fittings. I’ve only done caliper swaps, this is the most comprehensive brake system overhaul I’ve done. Gonna see what I’ve got to work with and go from there, wish me luck 😅
