  2. His car is currently at his son's muffler shop in RIO VISTA CA. for upgrades. He is building the car to the original design of his race car of the 70's. He has quite a history with early DATSUN racing and if anyone is interested I will see if I can get more info. There is pics of the above car painted and I'll see if I can obtain some...... LARRY
  3. To answer a few questions.... the frame rail supports are from this vendor http://www.baddogparts.com/ and were spot welded every 6 inches. You soon learn about getting out of a car with sidepipes (I've only burned myself once) and they do not like nylons . As far as 1/4 mile times go I don't have a clue yet........ As to going the V-8 blower set-up route, e-mail me and I'll give you some of my thoughts..... but this I'll say here now, to do it right, have a large budget set and a car in real good condition. BTW, traub83 I notice you have the Quad Cities for a location. If it's what I'm thinking of I grew up 30 miles East of Moline.IL. LARRY
  4. A few new mods... The blower is a better design with the idler pulley part of the snout and tighter tolerances internally. The rear wheels lock up great now with the LSD in and I added new frame rail supports. The race prepped 195 AFR heads will go in next week. It may then be time for a track run.... LARRY
