No, I live in Norway:-)
But it's hard to get thing by the tech inspectors here as well.... I have been working for 18 months!, to get the RB and the 8" and 10" wheel combo approved.
At times I was thinking, this is never going to happend... (like when they sent the 3. negative answer)... BUT the 4. time the answer was OK!!!

As I have been trying build a street legal car, I have run into some problems with the car tech inspectors. I had planned on a RB25DET, 8x17 and 10x17 wheels, tech inspectors said: NO WAY!
BUT!!!!!! Thanx to Alan, and all his help with info / documents on the S30, the tech inspectors now say OK!!!!
So, now I can finally get on building the car of my dreams:-)
Again, thank YOU Alan, this I could NOT have accomplished without your help!
Best regards

Admin, please delete post. Didn't find a way to do this myself.

The inspector just wanna cover his back.... as long as someone else says it's ok, his back is covered... I asked if I could present some documents from those who REALLY knows these cars, like SO many on this site, BUT NO, it had to be from NISSAN (importers, head office, or so...). Or of course the german TüV, they don't question anything coming from that place... But I have already tryed tüv, no luck, too old car...

I actually know most of the guys working at the local Nissan dealership, BUT their all afraid of the big guys in HEAD OFFICE Norway... And from Nissan Norway, there is absolutly NO help (not even an e-mail adr for nissan jp...)... Even the car inspector knows that! That's why he asked me to try to get confirmation from other US, AU or JP... As he said: those guys are used to high power engines:-)
I don't think the S30 would have any problems coping with the rb25det, but maybe the Nissan guys think I'm going to sue them if I get in an accident...?
Well, I'm not giving up.... I WANNA HAVE AN RB!

Car inspectors won't let me build my dream car, unless.....
I need a letter (or e-mail) from a offical Nissan source, stating that the S30 chassi will withstand the power of the RB25DET (or even better rb26dett)...
So anyone got a GOOD car interested contact, anywhere? Or e-mail adr for Nissan US, AU or JP??
ANY help would be appreciated!!!
Best regards

I'm 1. kyu kyokushin, going for shodan in about a year or so...
We have a small kyokushin club where I live, about 30-35 members. There's no blackbelts in our club, so I'm kohai, working my lonely way for my shodan:-)

Everyone in here are into cars (Z's), but I got to wonder, how many are into martial arts?
Is there many like me, who's into both:-)
I have been doing Kyokushin for some years now. Are there many styles of martial arts represented in here?
OSU!

I think they have done some work on the inside of the fender wells. The previous owner did this to my car, and said that I should be able to fit 10" wheels without flaring. But, I like the looks of the car with rear flares, so I put on some msa street? flares. I belive I would have been able to fit 10x17 in the rear (without flaring) if I had put on some coilovers.

engine / transmisson -92 300zxtt, now single turbo. 3" piping from turbo to about the trans, where it splits into 2 x 2.5" back to the exit.
Adjustable struts (legs) with koni shocks.
Hubs and rotors from BMW 740, caliper from RX7.
Wheels Rondell 8x17 and 10x17 with 215/40-17 and 235/40-17.
All info from the norwegian magasine, VI MENN.

It got an VG30dett, converted to single turbo. And a 300zxtt trans (Not 100% sure about trans).
I'll try to find some more info.
