  1. I only want about 250-300HP out of my smallblock 350 and am more concerned about keeping noise and heat in the engine compartment down to a minimum. Therefore I was planning on using cast iron exhaust manifolds. The JTR manual says the "rams horn" type or the "log" type used on 1980 & newer Camaro,Caprice &Monte Carlo are the ones that work. Has anybody found other manifolds that will fit w/the JTR conversion? The later Vette manifolds look like they flow well-has anyone tried them? Thanks for any advise I can get!
  2. Thats it! Thanks you guys...and Dan, I'm sure I'll be picking your brain later.
  3. I have viewed a site in which the car owner cut out the hatch floor of his car (spare tire well etc.) then made a place to mount the battery on the left (drivers side) and a Suzuki? gas tank on the right (passenger side). This enabled him to run dual exhaust between the two and exit through a cutout in the center of the rear valence panel. I have looked and looked but can't find it again. Does anyone know how I can find this posting/website? Thanks!
  4. Hey Grumpyvette, You obviously know you stuff re: SBC engines. I have a quick question to ask.... I'm working on a Ferrari GTO replica on a 280 donor. I have a 350 w/aluminum heads off a 96 (I think) Vette. Anyway, these heads have the center bolt setup for the rocker covers and I want to find an unusual (exotic) looking rocker cover to give the engine a Ferrari "look". Please let me know if you have any sources. Thanks, J.P. Roberts
  5. The carb is on backwards. What do think we are idjuts?
