  1. OK I updated it. As for the short shifter, I've still yet to find where the heck I placed the shifter at. So Cygnus if you still need it, I'm still willing to sell it to you as soon as I place it. I know its around here somewhere. Everything posted is whats left of my poor baby. Anyone local need body panels...this is among the cleanest rust free cars you will come across for a long time. Cant keep the car at my neighbors too much longer. I pulled everything I can, except the glass. Cant ship big glass pieces and not sure how I could ship the doors. I just don't know hot to package them.

  2. Ah what the hell, I'll chime in since I'm a little familiar with this setup :-)

Don't rebuild the block if you're on a budget. If the compression is fine, why mess with it? Spend that (rebuild) money on taking the motor straight to the dyno. Trying to tune it yourself (without a wb 02 or experience) is what will end the life of the block. 300whp is easy with what you got. And the stock turbo cam will be just fine to 400hp from what I've researched on this site (I never had any stock stuff).

  3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the four barrel got significantly worse fuel mileage than the SU's. I had SU's for years and my car always started on first turn and ran like a dream. I'm not sure any form of carburation is 21'st century since there's fuel injection.

I'm glad that your car is running better than ever though. And if it takes slapping on a Holley than so be it.

  4. Sorry I haven't replied yet. I still gotta take out the halfshafts and adaptors, they are the six bolt pattern, cygnus has dibs on the shortshifter, I just gotta dig through my stuff to get to it, and the flywheel is the 240mm (99% sure on that but I will measure it to be exact). I will weigh that today.

  5. If I haven't replied yet, its because I haven't been able to pull the part and see the condition, especially for CV's, or I haven't gotten around to pricing something yet. I want to make sure I give a fair price on everything. Make sure when you pm me that you put the part in the subject, so I can go back to it easily. Its been raining all week and i've been trying hard to get the parts for everyone.

Haltech and injectors are sold. I'm going to pull the surge tank this weekend.

  6. Updated the list some guys. Walbro fuel pump, Aeromotive adjustable FPR, and Aeromotive inline fuel filter.

I promise to get back to everyone. I just want to make sure I'm pricing things fairly. I also need to make sure I'm giving correct details for all you who have asked me about the rearend. Also, I'm trying to figure out what all I can pull out of the suspension without inhibiting myself from being able to roll the car on a trailer!

And then the suspension and rearend stuff I have to wait until the weekend to pull, unless someone wants to come pull it.

  7. Ok guys, I'm slowly pulling this stuff but MSA is coming up and incase someone is local and wants to pull it, I figure I'd list whats coming out of the car and then I'll get it all into the classifieds as soon as I pull and price everything. Most of this stuff is brand new. As you know the car didn't make past 500 miles before her untimely death. Here is a pic of all the stuff.

  8. What money?!! haha

Yeah I figure I'll try and take that extra time and put it into making money, and maybe one day I'll be able to build another one again. If I would've had a second car, things would be different. I'm at the age where I've gotta start being responsible now and saving my money. It looked as if I had finally gotten the car dialed in with no problems, so I figured I'd could finally have my cake and eat it. But alas! fate was not on my side.

The addiction's never over. It will rear its ugly head again one day I'm sure.

  9. Fixed. Unfortuanetly my z is going to live forever on my credit cards if I don't sell the parts off. I'll see what I can do though. I have Hanns 10sec roll cage that I never installed that I can donate if you need it. I can also donate the chromed out 16's!

  10. Well Zarah recieved her final death blow today. AAA was going to cut me a check for the repairs and let me fix the car myself. Unfortunately I had a loan against the car so the only way to make it work was to cut a check to a shop and then have them cut a check to me. Unfortunately, I coudn't work that out. The other option was to take the check to the bank and try to get them to sign it over to me and explain that I needed to source the parts myself. Well they didn't go for it. I paid them off with the check and took the the $100 left over and bought me a new pair of shoes.

Thanks to everyone who's been a big help to me. Wish I could've enjoyed the car for more than a week after 2 years of building it, but that how life goes. The motors already accounted for, but I'm going to be parting the car off and selling all the fuel, suspension, ems, etc. So keep your eyes open for that.

Here's from my final days with her running strong.
