  1. Support you local O'Reilly Auto Parts. Their MasterPro CV axle shaft 60-2112 worked for me. I was excited to see the cv was stamped with the Ford logo. I was even more excited when the "star' slid on the chromoly axles. Your mileage may vary, but I didn't do so well with the Cardone CV axles.
  2. Have you got any up close pictures of your transmission mount? Excellent work, by the way. -Mark
  3. I know this is an old thread, but please forgive me. As you can imagine, I'm in the market for a radiator for a V8 conversion. Did the OP purchase a "stock" radiator and mount with the JTR radiator brackets? Or, is this thread primarily talking about the T-Bird fan? Thanks for anyone's help. -Mark
  4. Let me really muddy the waters on the cv axles. I originally bought the Cardone 60-2112 axles (not new) since I read they were remand Ford products. When they came in, they were 2 totally different axle shafts. The cv housing on one axle was painted black and obviously used. The other axle was shiny and new. Evidently, I was shipped a Cardone Select 66-2112 for some reason along with a 60-2112. Neither cv housing was stamped with a Ford logo. Both axles were secured to the "star" with the infamous clip. However, when I got everythig apart only the "new" star would slde on the 930 axles. The "used' star was just too tight to slide on the 930 axle. This cv obviously wouldn't work. So, a simple fix I thought was to order another Cardone 66-2112. Wrong! Everything appeared the same as my first 66-2112. It even had the same number stamped on the cv housing. However, the axle was not secured to the cv with the clip, it was pressed in! The star or inner race was a different thickness and even the balls looked to be a larger diameter. Wow. What am I doing wrong? Where are you guys buying your axles from? What part number? Thanks for any help you can give me.
  5. Cool! Look forward to seeing some progress.
  6. Does anyone have any pictures of how the Ford F150 outer axles are removed from the axle shaft? You know what they say about pictures.
  7. Awesome thread. Thanks for posting all those pictures. Very inspiring.
  8. Got my kit last night. Unbelievable. These parts are too nice for my car. Everything arrived in beautiful condition. I have never seen so much bubble wrap in my life. I know it takes a lot of time to do something like this and I hope you are rewarded for all your hard work. Thanks again. -Mark
  9. Beautiful radiator Zzeal. Thanks for posting.
  10. Well ok then. I'm bloody well confused. My mind keeps going back to college days and calculating AUC. Really? All I want is some stainless long tube headers in a large diameter. Has it been determined if the Hawks long tube headers will fit a 240z?
  11. So, is this the final set of flares out there from which a mould could have been made? Has anyone seen these "240Z C-Production Flares" ( http://www.classicdatsun.com/ ) on a car? Do you think they would have the "race" look of the MSA flares?
