I have a sweet deal on an LT1 with Ecu, harness, 6spd trans for $1100 CAD, good deal? also, has anyone done an LT1 swap going by the JTR book? i asked Mike from JTR and he said they sell mounts that would work. I just want to know if i can do an Lt1 swap while going by the JTR book.

Hey guys, for a while now i have been wanting to do some kind of engine swap with my 280, and i just bought a JTR manual, and i have some questions. Has anyone supercharged or turbocharged their V-8z? What about Carbureted V-8's? i know Vortech makes a kit for carb V-8's, anyone have it? What, in you're opinion is the best car to take the V-8 from? Did you guys havto change rear ends? and what transmissions do you find best? Do the JTR parts work with ls1's? Thanks alot guys.

Hey guys, im thinking of swapping an RB into my 1978 280z, but i have some questions first, and please, dont refer me to a SEARCH button, i have already tried. Any ways, i wanted to know: 1-What mods to the body are needed to use AWD 2-I hear the Z31 mounts and Oil pan from a J'spec car will work, but what about USDM Z31's? can i still use the parts? (on the 25 and 26) 3-I really need some info on the electronics work that will need to be done, can anyone tell me where i can read up on it? 4-Where can i get my hands on an RB, i happen to be up in Alberta, and its a bit harder to get my hands on one than in the US. and right now im just really looking for more reading material, so if anyone can help, i would be very thankful. Hey, im just beginning to restore my car and right away i saw that the tube going from the neck of the radiator to the overflow thank was attached to nothing. In my haynes manual it shows the rad tank to the right front of the engine, mines missing? but their is no mounting place and no unhooked wiring. can someone please help me out? i dunno whats going on.

Ok, i just bought my first car, a 280zx, and according to my Haynes manual the pump should be right infront of the tank, to the right. i looked everywhere under the car and i cant find it. lol yea, im a rookie. Thanks.

Hey, i might buy a Datsun 280Zx as my first car. Is their anything bad, i should look for in older models? its a 1979 280Zx "6 cy, fuel ing, 5 sp, needs work, $500 obo" does this sound like a good deal? thanks. (p.s that price is in Canadian funds)
