  1. Riding in and driving the car was an awesome experience. When you hear the boost coming in then feel it..Wow its a whole new animal. Can't wait till you get the intercooler piped in, wideband tuned, and the boost turned up. Excellent budget hotrod. Im really jealus because I set my goals so high for my Z that it is going to be a loooong and expensive road before I ever get to enjoy it. Where mike gets to enjoy his daily. Don't get so wrapped up in being the best that you never get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. I think im going to build a turbo car or v8 to get me through until i get the DragZ done. Sorry that was way off topic. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
  2. Sorry I forgot you were still stock datsun rear. Im going Ford 9". I was kinda in awe of how that thing looks. i got the 12" wheel but your tires seem to fit pretty nicely on the 10". Cant wait to see the yz front on it. Keep up the good work
  3. Wow that looks great! I just got my yz's and already have the same wheel and tire combo. It gives me some motivation and something to look forward to. Are those 7 1/2" backspace? Can't wait to see the yz front on it. I been flip flopping on getting the front flared. Once again Awesome car.
  4. I was 2 hours away from buying this "thing". The seller finally emailed me back from yesterday with these. {sorry if they don't work}

  6. Well they finally released the price for the ls7 $12,595.00 LS-7 Price
  7. When your family and friends no longer ask how your doing but "Hey {insert name} hows the z coming along. And you respond with shaking your head in disapointment. The barber says "Got that little mazda thing running yet"
  8. I think it must be some new safety feature. If you spin out it will catch air like the nascar roof flaps but this is an improvised model that spins you upside down and lands your car safely on the matress.
  9. Mike kZ- He did not say "as is", it was supposed to be "ready to run". dr_hunt- the asskicking sounds like a good idea, I got some big boys in my family. The way I got it figured is hes paying the money out one way or another, whether it be medical bills or car repair after I return the block in a manner of my choosing. Also I can't just let that money go as I am out of a job right now. Besides that, the 900 dollars represented 115 hours of work for me. Im willing to spend a few hours hassleing him to get those hours back. Mikelly- I was going to PM you if I didnt get a response. I was looking forward to hearing from you as I have stalked you around the forum and read enough of your post to realize your wisdom in the judicial system.
  10. Ok. Some of you might remember a while back I bought a "448 chevy" a while back. Heres the link to the previous post Post. Anyway the motor turned out to be nothing he said it was and it was blown. The only sort of paper trail i have for it is a peice of paper with the motor specs on it wrote by the seller{Dan Hoppel}. I paid in cash DO'H. But I do have a witness{Tim} who counted the money and witnessed the transaction and claims of the seller. My questions are: 1 What are my odds of getting my money back if i take him to court? 2. How do I go about it?
  11. Ok I haven't seen any money back yet. The seller is avoiding all of our calls and wont return messages. So my question is how do I take this guy to court and do I stand a chance of getting my money back? The only thing I have on paper is the description of the motor from him. I paid in cash. But i do have Tim as a witness of the money paid.
  12. Len.. I've been playing paintball for 6 years now. The guns i have had or have are:: Talon pump gun, Stingray 2, Spyder SE w/ 14" dye excel, Tippman 98 w/Flatline, Diablo Mongoose LCD. Used A5 one game last year. I strongly agree with Mikelly. Tippmans are a sweet gun, kinda the ak47 of the paintball world sans loose tolerances. My opinion is go with the a5. the 98's are sob to take apart,{its not possible to field strip} but there is usually little need to. Here are some links that might be of help My personal favorite/ Done all of my business with them since the local store went under. Usually as cheap as they get and fast shippings: http://www.888paintball.com/ Reviews: http://www.pbreview.com/ Ive always preffered a 14" barrel. I think most good players will agree on more than 8" and less than 16" The ball is only being accelerated in the first 3 inches and the rest is for accuracy or to keep it quiet. personally i like the loudest barrel i can find. Keeps their heads down. i think anything longer than that and your just making it more cumbersome and using more gas to get the ball to the same velocity. I used to use a remote line but found it to be more of a hassle than an advantage. And probably the best pieces of equipment you could get are. a good mask{Doesn't matter how good you are if you cant see bc/ your lense is fogged} I use an olive drab Jt Spectra//harness{paintball gunz are hungry critters} http://www2.888paintball.com/888product.asp?plid=HARNESSES&icid=REDZ&scid=FLEX+TEK&csid=20938208288840421082455405805216442054085052970532&code=27%2ERDZ%2E+FT+4+UN+BLK&xt=br Hope this helps Rich
  13. Ok i had the processor out of my dell 4600 and I broke the lever that that clamps the processor in to the socket.. does anyone know if this can be replaced.. for now im just going to epoxy it back together?
  14. I always used a very crude calculation to get 1/4 mile times from the 1/8 et. I just multiply Et. by 1.54. I got that from some other drivers at the strip when we was trying to figure out what my cousins junior would run if he ran it out. Sorry if it is inacurate and unhelpfull. Useing that formula it comes out to a 9.8. Im sure youve done some quarter passes to be restricted to 1/8 mile,, what were your quarter times By The way Great job on the car. It was the whole inspiration for me making up my mind to do a turbo sbc build. Ever think about doing any in car camera stuff like barkley racing.
  15. Is that feature currently still available, If so were is it, I must have overlooked it
  16. Skrichs tips for easy money. Go to the special conditions race and from there go to the second race down, do both races and you win 5K per race plus a Toyota rally car that you can resell for 265K. Ran this a couple times just to sell off the cars and get some cash, and the first race in special conditions gives you the Cadillac Cien

  20. awd92gsx :Gasp: how'd you figure out my secret identity Valid point, I don't even want to touch on that subject as it leads to useless ranting in most cases. But yes I agree very respectable power to displacement ratio But the ranting about saying it was a custom forged crank of his design, when in fact it is a stock chevy cast. "I don't care who yar thas funny right there"
