  1. Hey guys – I did researched but couldn’t find a direct topic regarding the above subjet…not using Ross’s aluminum 5 lug hubs but coming off of a z31 in my junkyard. Can someone please tell me if it’s possible? If so, what rotors and calipers should I use? Thanks, John
  2. You never touched it? Where did you buy it from? I need one for my AZ IM/ Thanks Dan!3
  3. The plan is to install coilovers and section the struts 2". I will not remove the top portion of the strut but lower the bottom perch. Is this a good route?
  4. Is this the right way to section front struts for the 240z-280z? https://createpdf.adobe.com/cgi-pickup.pl/How%20to%20section%20struts.pdf?BP=&LOC=en_US&CUS=4c74bdebfb25ce22a79c31cbcac69eb3&CDS=425EE496-0B22-20F46D I based my drawing from this: https://createpdf.adobe.com/cgi-pickup.pl/Sectioning%20Struts.pdf?BP=&LOC=en_US&CUS=4c74bdebfb25ce22a79c31cbcac69eb3&CDS=425EE703-50D6-18AF9E
  5. Thanks for the quick reply...appreciate it.
  6. My gas tank has been sitting outside my back yard for a year or so. What would be the best way to clean it up? What solvent or cleaning solutions should I use? There isn't any rust...just sand. Appreciate the help.
  7. That'll make you the first ever to accomplish this project. Good luck!
  8. First of all, I don't have the skills and knowledge you guys have. I have to give you a lot of respect and credit for your project but...i think that there's too much work involve. I think dropping a 2JZ-GTE or a 7M-GTE will simplify -cost and labor- the whole concept of DOHC. What do you guys think?
  9. I think 2126 made a very good point. Not everytime anybody get's their questions answered. Sometimes anybody can benefit from a tiny lecture..that's what this forum is all about -listen, hear and learn.
  10. That's too much work..I would just put a 1jzgte or a 2jzgte and it's all good. Just my .02
  11. Superdan - Do you have pics on your new set-up? I would love to see it. -John-
  12. 2126 - I mean headbolts. I have no plans on increasing the compression or highly modify it, but I will be replacing my cam shaft to accomodate the AZ intake manifold and the Holley 390 cfm 4bbl carb. Can I still re-use my headbolts? Thanks man... -John-
  13. Hi Guys - I just bought a new HG and I was wondering if I can I re-use my stock cylinder head studs. Thanks!
  14. Thanks SHO-Z! After reading that thread and the debates over a 4bbl and su’s, I will go with the 4bbl route simply because of it’s reliability, simplicity and less cost. I am not looking to race my car but to drive it on weekends..it’s not a daily driven car.
  15. I searched but couldn't find a single topic about the Arizona Intake manifold w/ Holley 390 CFM Vacuum 4-BBL. So I am asking if anyone had tried to this route and how well does it perform? Thanks, John
  16. I heard that this set up is a waist of money and that the SU's produces better performance. I think I'll probably just get the triple carbs or SU's for my L28.
  17. Hi Folks - I'm planning on putting the AZ Intake manifold w/ Holley 4BBL carburator. Can I gain more horsepower and torque in this route than the n/a L28 injection system? What are thoughts on this? John
  18. Hey Terry, Can this method be done for the front and back? Thanks John
  19. I've searched and could't really find a direct answer to what I was looking for. I have a 76 280Z, I know that the 240Z strut diameter is narrower compared to the 280Z but.....are the 240Z struts have the same length or height with the 280Z struts? This goes for the front and rear by the way. Thanks guys....
