  1. hey guys.......what will be a proper drive shaft and tranny for my 350 sbc. i'm not going to build a monster machine.............maybe between 225-250 hp. any input is greatly appreciated. -john-
  2. i have a 76 280z......i'm not planning to build and extreme hp v8, just wanna have a v8 in it. also, this is not a daily driver car, it's more like a toy car, for looks but ofcourse will have atleast 225-250 hp. is it necessary to upgrade the subframes? appreciate any input......
  3. just curious guys..........has someone installed a sbc without modifying the subframes?
  4. ........it's considered 160 lbs due the over all dimensions. if i'm not mistaken.......if the overall dimensions exceed 150".....it's considered as overweight but, it should not exceed 160lbs......maximum should only be 150 lbs. but then again i could be wrong.

  6. nice.......great job. i've always liked the silver color..........the diamond silver from a 3rd gen rx7 has been the top choice in my list.

  11. hi guys........my sbc has a standard size pistons. its going to a machine shop next week increasing the bore to +25..........will i need to replace the crank? what size pistons will i get? the piston rods looked to be in good shape, can i still keep use them? appreciate the help guys. -thanks- john

  14. i have a bare sbc and the pistons are out of the block.........this is a used engine. can anybody help me on what to look out for in a piston and engine block, etc.... thanks john

  19. cool man........all my caps have 2 bolts. so this is what i got..........1971 chevy 350 small block 2 bolts main. what is the stock hp in this baby. thanks tim. john
  20. tim.....correct me if i'm wrong.....there are five caps right? if so, there are two bolts per cap.
  21. i dropped the pan today matt and this is how it looks. how can i tell if its a 2 or 4 bolt. -thanks- john
  22. okay....here's what i have discovered so far on my csb engine. Head Casting #: 3986339X (1971 307 or 350 74cc chambers) Block Casting #: GM3970010 (1971 307 or 350 - 2 or 4 bolt) Block Casting Date: H 26 1 (H=August, 26= the 26th day of the month and 1 stands for 1971) 302: built 1969 4 bolt z28 camaro 327: built 1969 2 bolt trucks and industrial 350: built 69-80 2 or 4 bolt all three shares the same block casting number my csb engine is definitely a 350 2 or 4 bolt.....correct me if i'm wrong. question: how will i know if it is a 2 or 4 bolt? feedback......
