Although sadly, it's not a Z. It's a '75 710 Wagon. I'll be picking it up in a couple weeks. Plans are to make this a daily driver, and will probably swap in a CA18DET in a couple months. It has a 4 speed, l20b, air conditioning. Should be a fun car

That was extremely strange but yet it put a smile on my face at 4:55 on a friday morning. Not an easy task.

My full time job, i'm the manager of a small convenient store that services a community of Stanford employees and affiliates. Part time, I do personal training for the university. I also go to school.

Physical geography and reading/composition. my brain still hurts from the philosophy/logic class i took in summerschool...

That's definitely not 9. Speaking of which, has anybody been up there lately? I havent been in a while because friends kept getting pulled over....

V8rx7.com doesnt work, but v8rx7forum.com works fine for me.

Not much progress, unfortunately. All the 5 lug stuff is on there, control arms made. Wheels are on there, definitely need flares! Waiting on the front end to be finished.

Looking at that made me giggle a little bit. That's nut's...High trap speed!

Does anybody have one lying around or installed and wouldnt mind jacking up the rear of thir car for me?? I want to get a couple measurement, as i'm contemplating the possibility of using one (albeit not in a Z)
I did a search and only found a post asking if anybody ever tried putting one of them in a Z. No replies...So, has anybody tried?

I'm not too familliar with the internals of the q45, except i know that it uses 13mm bolts where the regular r200 uses 12 mm bolts. Are there any other physical differences that would prevent one from putting in a Quaife unit and using a 1mm spacer/washer on each bolt?
I did a search, but came up with mostly group buys and info about viscous lsds. Any help would be appreciated!

The ass on it looks like a cross between a solstice and the most recent toyota solara, the roofline looks prius, and the front looks like some sort of audi ripoff or audi/dodge mix.
Hmm...I dont like it.

actually, the seat isn't mounted, it's just loosely placed. it'll be much more upright and further back. Shifter position should be fine for anybody 6 feet or taller, but shorter might be questionable, might have to put blocks on the pedals

More pics for those who are interested.

Nothing extraordinary, but i thought it came out well. Just a typical day on the Golden Gate Bridge...
And a little dose of reality...

Making some decent headway on the car...spending money about twice as fast as i'm making it. Such is life.
The carb is here, a custom built QuickFlow 750 unit with annular boosters and road race floats. Set me back about $650.
Have a custom ground cam from thunder racing, as well as upgraded springs, retainers, pushrods.
Also ended up buying the msd 6012 ignition.
This thing is going to be SWEET.

Ok, this movie was just downright awesome.
I loved the disappearing pencil trick. LOL. OWNED!!

The cam is custom ground...a lot of somebody's thought went into it.

I'm trying to do a cam/valve spring/pushrod swap into my ls2 before it's mounted into the car. Does any body have a link to a step by step tutorial that would help?
Or if somebody in the SF bay area wants to roll out to san jose and teach me how to do it, i'll throw you some cash, food, and beer (maybe not in that order).

For those interested, the cage is tacked in. Waiting on the rear suspension bushing to come in so we can make the downbars to tie all that in.
-
I think i could get used to that... Maybe if they were powdercoated black or something. At least those wheels are relatively cheap...
-
I'd like to see if my wagon would look stupid if it was lowered a couple inches with some 17" g35 wheels on it. Could somebody do me a favor and mock it up in their spare time?
Unfortunately, i couldnt find a better pic of the wheels...

Interesting, i didnt even consider having the floorboards go under as an option. I was thinking over with removeable access panels.
As far as seats, we stuck a pair of momo's in there yesterday. They fit fine, but would be even better if i trimmed about 1.5" off of one of the shoulder wings/ears (whatever you call them) closest to the door. Kirkeys might do the trick just fine. The headrest comes just behind the B pillar.

Progress has been a bit slow due to me starting school again, but it's coming along...
Cage should be started today and finished early next week...

No recipes, but sweet thread!!
I got into beer making earlier this year, started out with a pale ale. Just brewed a nut brown, bad timing for summer though.
Anyways, i'll be interested to see where this goes.

Has anybody on here tried this? I was reading about it in the november issue of GRM, and it sounded pretty sweet.

I don't think it'll work on my macbook unless i install vista though :-/
