In the picture where does the black and white wire from distributor go? what does v(v(12v)) and v(5v) mean? do i just put an inline resistor here?

scroll down.
http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=100074
it took me maybe 15 minutes to retrofit.

i agree, i could sell you a 240sx throttle body for $40 with tps. or you could just go to the junk yard and get one yourself, either way is probably cheaper than buying just the TPS through a parts dealer.
-
without going turbo youre definitely going to have a hard time keeping up.
however, you've got the right idea in starting with body work, brakes, and suspension.
-
im having trouble finding the page... can you link me to it directly?
-
arggg... thanks

i went to the junk yard and pulled a sensor that i found in the throttle body of a 2001 chevy cavalier, it had 4 wires so im assuming this is the heated oxygen sensor.
my question is, where did everyone else mount thiers? would the IC piping be an ok place?

i was excited today when my car turned over for the first time in about 5 months. granted, it was only the starter and MS wasnt even connected, but still.
i wish i were smoking toyos, haha

when i shipped an E88 with everything on it minus the valve cover, it was 63 Lbs.

im in the process of doing something similar to my intake, my question is, do those hole i see inside of the EGR runner go all the way through?
if so, i think it might just be easier for me to make a block off plate for the EGR.
im definitely not going to the extremes that you did, that thing is a work of art. my only problem with making something as nice as that is that the time and money involved could be used to make a custom manifold from scratch.

green block = relay board
orange = "inj 1"
yellow = "inj 2"
grey block = resistors
black block = injectors
red = "inj 12v"
so you guys are saying that the yellow wires need to go to injectors 123 and the orange wires need to go to injectors 456?
-
this is how i wired my injectors
injector 12V -> splice -> resistor -> injector1
...........................|-> resistor -> injector2
injector 12V -> splice -> resistor -> injector3
...........................|-> resistor -> injector4
injector 12V -> splice -> resistor -> injector5
...........................|-> resistor -> injector6
the other side of the injector i wired injctor 1 to the odd numbered injectors and injector 2 to the even.
sound okay? thanks for the help.

part number is 22100 p9501
is there anyway to test to see if it is a 83 turbo dizzy and if it has an internal CAS?
-
"dont buy it' date=' those turbos are crap."
Does personal experience make you say that ihatejoefitz? Or you just talking based on what you’ve seen from others?

my friend ran one on a rebuilt 2nd gen rx-7 and it blew up on the break in period. (when he couldnt even go above 4k RPM.)
-
the last person to leave feedback for that seeller is ssautochrome. dont buy it, those turbos are crap.
-
radioshack only had 10watt resistors. anybody know a good place to get the 25watt? or does anybody have any advice to give about using a 280z resistor pack?
-
the cable position is definitely temporary, i havent even gotten MS running on my car yet, so it was pretty much impromptu. as soon as everythin is up and running i'll start cleaning up the intake, grinding down the stock linkage and ill probably weld a bracket for the cable to sit in.
my guess as to why the metal is so burnt looking right there, is probably because the old cammed and carburated engine would backfire through the carbs for the first ten or so minutes after startup and they were pretty close to that hole.
the tip in is not great and is something that ill have to get used to.

-
sorry, i didnt have time to get any pictures today, ill do it tomorrow before school. tony, i imagine that the 240sx and the 200sx use about the same cable, i read your post on zcar and thats where i got the idea.
-
ill take some tomorrow... it doesnt matter how long the cable is really... mine has a lot of slack and it basically loops behind the brake master cylinder
-
you'll have to ask moby, i havent finished installing megasquirt yet.
red being power, black being ground is pretty much standard though.
-
i wound up doing as i said and swaping the whole throttle body, i also modified my accelerator pedal to use the throttle cable from the 240sx, it took me all of 30 minutes and i think it cleans up the intake a lot. especially after i grind down the linkage mounts.
-
i didnt assemble my board, so do you think i will have this same problem?
when i was reading the "how to assemble pigtail" in the megamanual it didnt say anything about jumping wires.
thanks,
joe
