  1. From what I understand, the 240SX LSD, as far as the internals that is will fit right into our long nose R200 case. With that being the case, has anyone attempted using one? From the information that I have gathered, depending on year, they came with a clutch type and viscous type LSD. Now if anyone has done one of these swaps, as I know that the 240SX crowd does with the Z31 rear swap, shouldnt you be able to used the 280ZX turbo CV's? This is really the only thing that I am not sure of, can any of you help?
  2. I have done that already, it was one of the first things I did to the car long ago and its still everywhere. I cleaned all the grounds, cleaned and or replaced all the connectors, used quality dialetric grease everywhere, even on the relays and all. Might have to try what you suggested with the car to test under load, dont like the thought of putting a fuel pressure guage in the car with me
  3. Kind of afraid to do this and think that my car might be down for a few days again. Its an 82 ZX turbo, I was looking at the throttle body and the small vacumn line that is at the bottom of the throttle body. where would I hook that up at or too? Also, would there be any adjustments needed to fuel or air with this upgrade?
  4. I gapped the plugs at .038, Currently I am running the car at stock pressure of 37 (not running) gauge on fuel rail, right at 30 like it should be during idle as per service manual (not FSM). It goes lean under load. Not sitting or at nuetral and revving.
  5. Finally gotten my 82 zx turbo straightened out and it runs ok now. Things I noticed that are different before and after the fuel rail. The AF gauge goes almost to lean then back up again when I give it throttle. Never did that before once warmed up it would usually stay in the green(rich) till cruising, then jump around in the stoich. I also notice at idle what seems to be like a miss. Only after sitting for a minute though. Rev the gas and its gone. Street dirving is different as well. Not as smoothe as it used to be. I figured the only other thing that I changed that was different then the rail were the plugs, BPR7ES 11's. Could they be the cause of all my bad running?
  6. I know I know Im a bad Z car owner Today while I was able to use a multimeter I found also that the CHTS was reading colder then what the engine temperature actually was. Hmm could be the reason for rich running. Hopefully this fixes the problem.
  7. Found something new today, Ill order another one tommorow. When I pulled the plug to the CHTS, the car ran perfectly well for about 30seconds- 2 minutes, till going back to the garbage running. Also once out and it was running well, if I replugged the CHTS back in, it would run like crap again.
  8. Sorry now I feel really stupid, its an 1982 280zx turbo.
  9. Checked that, all good in through the filter to the rail, out to the fuel pressure regulator, made sure that wasnt backwards as well. to the return.
  10. OK Heres whats happening, bought a fuel rail a while back, then I got a 240SX throttle body, then I bought myself a fuel pressure regulator. Well the other day, I put the new fuel rail on, at the same time I put in new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. I did use NGK plugs but a step colder, BPR7ES11. Car wouldnt start. Checked and rechecked plug wires to make sure they were in the right order. All is well. Found out bad running was from dirt in the chopper wheel on the CAS. Cleaned that and car ran well at idle that is. Took car out for a ride and starts chugging and bucking, like it has a timing issue. Plugs are still good, a little to dark then what they should be but still good, Checked timing, timing was good. Replaced the CHTS, because I had a spare new one, put on the aforementioned parts, AFM was 2 teeth to the rich, returned to stock position, fuel regualtor at stock pressure. When the car is cold idles fine runs fine, once the car is up to temperature, idle gets bad, thats when it seems to go out of time, or lope and chug when driving. The air fuel gauge goes wild as well. Now I did get one or two backfires threw the AFM, I havent tested it yet, but I cant believe as I was driving the car that morning and it ran well that just doing what little I did would result in the car not running. HELLLLLLLLLP!
