As you most of you may know, I posted a thread "New project. '77 280Z" not too long ago regarding my 77 280Z that I am currently looking for a new motor for. Today I had an idea of throwing a 4G63 (evo motor) into it.... Keep in mind, this is all just an idea for now. I do have a buddy that could fab up custom motor mounts and whatever else. We'll need to use a lot of brain power... Thoughts? Concerns?

I had a buddy push his rocker arm stud through the rocker arm itself... made the same popping noise and wouldn't drive. Swapped out the cam and heads (which he was going to do anyways) and hasn't had a problem since.

I'll have to stop by one of these days, watch for the Ford F150 with the Blue Z strapped to the trailer haha. Yeah, it's a really tight fit under the fender as well. I have about a centimeter or clearance between the tire and strut tower. But it DOES NOT rub... it's awesome! I have 245's all around on my 280z. They don't look bad at all with the width. I'm debating on the 17" rim though. I got mine from Zcarparts.com. They also have them at NLmotoring.com. (they are using my car on their website, because of the XXR wheels I have, should be up soon) Both sites are around the same prices I believe. But NLmotoring seems to have more color options including time attack

The rears are 255/60r16.... I think The fronts are 225/somethingr16 haha. I forgot man to be honest.

Well, I didn't know until now haha. and it's 10pm. Let me know about the next meet, Maybe I'll show up. Whether or not I have the Z is another question. It doesn't like to keep the gauges working for very long. I keep popping fuses everytime I drive it.

No I was going to go, but ended up going to my buddies Evo dyno in Rio Rancho instead. And I had no idea about a Z club X-mas party haha. I don't get out very much, or I'm just not invited to anything

Actually my buddies account. He did that for me haha. Haha No sir. I own two. I have the 260Z with the SBC which is the blue one. I have the Grey one which is a 280Z that's stock.... for now. I scrape EVERYWHERE I go. I've gotten in the habbit of dodging potholes, bumps, cracks... anything. I even do it in my Xterra and I get made fun of alot.
