  1. Hat I did the Modern Motorsports coilovers with new struts. This is the only way to go. Ross is quick to answer any questions and the parts are top quality. Click on my avatar and check out the pictures on yahoo. Sorry there are a lot of misc. pics in there Mike
  2. Welcome to the forum. I have the ZZ4 with a 700r4. For headers I used Hooker blockhuggers for D-port angled plugs # 2100 (I think). The steering shaft clears the header by about 3/8 of an inch. Dist. 1/2 inch from firewall and I did not use the JTR spacers under the crossmember . Check out the pics in the WWW below. Good luck on your project Mike
  3. This might help some of you.I have the Precision door weatherstripping I pulled back the precision stuff on the bottom only and to my surprise the door closed great. I put a piece of the mc master-carr gasket on the bottom and the door still worked great. The problem could be in the angle of the inner and outer rocker panel flange. I have not had time to go any farther on this. Good luck Mike
  4. very nice I hope mine turns out that good. Mike

    Pinion Snubber

Pete Is there some way to retain the stock mount when using the snubber? How about raising just the area in the snubber bracket where the mount is attached? I know this changes the diff angles again. Let me know if you need something made. MikeS

  21. Has anybody tried using the Corvette c5 97 and up style mirrors. The base is wider than the z mirror base. I have been considering these for my car, but making the proper adapter might be too much work. Any help on these or other mirrors that mount to the door would be very helpfull. Thanks
  22. I have had good luck with spray on cold galvanizing compound. It's 5 to 7 bucks a can, color is lite flat gray. this can also be used as a weld thru primer.
  23. Thanks Pete I may have to make something like you did. Little things like pinion adapters that don't fit is what makes building one of these cars interesting. RIGHT? Thanks everyone Mike
  24. I checked my JTR book. They say to switch the pinion 2 inch flange with the 2.25, but they do not say anything about the larger spline diameter that i have on my diff. They only offer one adapter in my book seventh printing June of 1998.I will give them a call on Tuesday to see if they have another adapter. Any other ideas? Thanks MIKE
