  1. I wish I had photoshop and I also wish I new how to use it. Plus a mouse and pencil, marker, whatever writing utensil, are two completely different things. Now a digital pencil, those are cool. Used one back in 6th grade, it was awesome. Now that with photoshop......oh yeah! I'd be playin 24-7 with that setup. Thanks for the drawing comments.

  2. Cool man. It's a small world after all  ......eh! Actually I want to pursue a career in Automotive design. I hate to brag on RCNSC's

thread, but concept cars (completely made up from scratch) are a passion to me. Drawing real cars Z's and such is a chore. Not so much fun. I can do'em but there aren't as enjoyable to draw. Accuracy counts.

  3. There are three kinds of racing I like to watch Drifting,Rally and GT. The GTs are awesome because the cars are fully functional. all the lights work, wipers etc. It's realistic racing plus they actually turn multiple directions on a course unlike, NASCAR (big boring ovals) sorry NASCAR fans. The 350Z GT car definitely looks better than the R130 did. Sometimes I question the aerodynamics of the modifications put on these cars. Take the boxy flares and bumpers for instance. Now the question is will it do better than the Ford GT.

  4. Hey tell me what you think of this concept. Now I also have a concept for the front if you'd like to see it. I've drawn up custom kick panels for the doors. Now the stuff in the rear has been design with the ideas of the exterior kept in mind (see pics below stereo design)

  5. That's what I'm talking about. LEDS are the best, not to mention creativity can be taken another step when it somes to lighting. Proof that my headlights and taillight ideas(see pics below) could very well become a reality, now I just need to know how to do everything.:D

  6. I hardly think the Japanese Drift style is ricey in any way ... I love that look - you know' date=' zip-ties holding on your front bumper (I did it with my Grand Am, actually), tattered bodykits touching more pavement than car, the wing you could shave the roofs of tunnels with ... I love it! I want something like this pic - [url']http://www.geocities.com/dorifto_motorsports/land_cruiser001.jpg[/url] . Notice how the front and rear under-diffusers jutt out at the bottom, and how the sideskirts are flat or slightly jutted out - this is what I would love to see on my Z! I'm a big fan of the Japanese VIP-car style, and would like to integrate that with the drift style and apply it to my Z. Now imagine my 2+2 with a kit like that, about 4 inches off the ground, with 14x10 wheels out back and 14x8 up front with the "stretch tire", about 5-degrees negative camber on all four wheels,

add a big wing like Drftn280ZX's design, and the fender flares of the car in this pic - http://www.geocities.com/dorifto_motorsports/DSC00136.jpg -, and that's exactly what I want. As for your kit, Drftn, I was going to comment on the rake of the front airdam, but you said it would be swept back like on an EVO, and that's more what I was aiming for ... it would look positively b****in' ...

Yes .......Dorifto.....Yes.....alas another 2+2 that wants the extreme. I dunno about 14" rims though. I want like 17"x10-12 rear and 17"x8-9" up front with some camber for drifting. Coilovers (the abilities). Yes 4" of clearance I think it would look awesome. I hope I canmake better renderings after taking some drawing classes in college. What you see is some years of high school training. Color is hard to work with. The kit you showed is pretty nice, with the nice curve like the EVO that would be killer. NOt to crazy about the accessorical fender flares though. Go big or go home is how I think about it. Get everything you want or else you'll never be satisfied. Where there's a will there's a way.

  7. I could definitely believe the 12.5 time. I saw a Z06 at the drift track and it took off. The track has a long straight away that leads in a larging sweeping drift. Stock that car made it down there to the other end twice as fast than the 240sx's with Turbocharged SR20det's running 15lbs of boost and gutted were. Pretty quick, I had never seen someone stomp on the gas in one of those cars. He did some awesome drifting for being bone stock (lots of smoke)

  8. No problem man, no ones mad at you, we were just getting a little antsy for feedback. A lot of people seem to think my design is ricey. What makes it so ricey and would could I do to it to make it less ricey, you know what would give it some "balls""muscle" without taking away from the low stance, and aerodynamic look?

Also I know the drawing make sthe front look like a rectangle with a slant cut on it with holes in it. In "reality" it would curved like the from of the Mitsubishi EVO or a BMW?

Dumb question but are Japanese drifting cars considered ricey?Cus I love that style (nice bodykits, lowered, big GT wing)

  9. I want to make anywhere from 450-650HP. (more on the 650 side). As far as the axles go, I'll search around for a futuire beefier set,if I can go aluminum that would be nice. Pondering whether to modify the existing OEM 5spd in the future or to do a racing 6spd trans instead. I'm thinking JSK's big brake upgrade will probably do with the 12.1" rotors (of course slotted ones would be a bit better)and 4pot Wilwood calipers.

Simply put I want redo the car over.(simply make it better and wake it up) Susp, drvtrain, engine, trans, brakes, body, everything

I think of it this way every performance part with the exception of Nitrous, supercharger, and carbs.

  10. I never heard or read that anywhere. The largest I've ever heard on a sport-compact is 3". I have yet to see a supra with 6" exhuast. I'll have to look to see if any supras at SEMA have that huge exhuast, I gotta see this for myself.

  11. Not sure why those big cars were always jacked up to the sky. I think it was an 80's masculinity thing. However with the nose pointing down I think it probably did get some downforce on the front end. I disagree with the body kits though. I know some of the body kits just add weight and drag to a car but companies like veilside sell $2,000 body kits that have a lot of R&D behind them. The black widow kits on the other hand are the ones that can be had on ebay for 300 dollars. There is a difference. Unfortunatly for the zx there aren't really any kits other than the msa offering.

thus giving the rest of us a reason to design new kits.

What happened to dorifto tuning? He hasn't replied to his own post?I'll PM him

  12. That second Z (the goldish one is nice). Needs a different front fascia, could use nice flare up front, would look way better with rims with a lip. The first pic ins't so inviting, I like the low stance though, kinda lets me see how the S130 would look with sideskirts and sitting low. Also I like how the rear flare bleeds into the door. Not exactly how I'd do it but it is still very nice.

Geez with my bodykit, andthe car sitting that low, it'd be like looking at a ferrari. Thanks for posting pics Zeeboost.

  13. DO you still have carpet in your car? If so how did you get past that hurdle.

Like I said the cage would have to co-exist with a full interior. Also I mentioned audio comp. I've designed a full fiberglass/carbonfiber/urethane(not sure which material to use in the future when I have it made) custom stereo in the back of the car. The back seats will be eliminated.

Also that doesnt' answer my question of how do you a roll cage in and out of a car?

  14. Thanks for the feedback guys. As far as turbo spool goes, if I could get the turbos spooled up so that my power is at it's greatest 3K-5.5K rpm would be ideal.(would twin T3-T4's be capable of this?) Also would this setup give me a lot of low end torque? DO you think 650CC injectors would serve it well or 750CC injectors.

Also Iwas thinking 15-20psi would be ideal for the setup.

Also anyone know of the name of the company that makes spark plug wires with the wire made of silver? (silver conducts better than copper, delivers a hotter spark)
