  9. So if you know a 225/50/16 sized tire on a 7" wide wheel is all the tire you will Use what do you all think the most realistic Max horsepower goal should be? used for autox time attack street driving
  10. no not doing a swap i need the conrods the 145mm bits
  11. well I'm only going for 300 350 hp rang but i'm wanting usable power say past 8000 rpms. i really want to build a crazily over square engine, i just rather have a 3.5l Ferrari f355 engine then a stroked and built Chevy small block.
  12. ok so this is what i have so a l28 block overbore 1mm p90 head 1mm gasket l20a crank so a 69.7 stroke ok and so I think, I need to gets some rods made 140mm long and some flat tops with a pin hight of 32.97 and with ozdat math this gives me Displacement:2.486 litres Deck Clearance:0.030 mm Rod/Stroke Ratio:2.009 Bore/Stroke Ratio:0.801 Static Compression Ratio:7.591 this is going to be a turbo car so any help would be cool is a deck clearance of 0.030mm ok ? and any thing any one can tell me
  13. thanks tony d i really want to do this now so whuld you us the t3/t4 turbo or some other turbo. and what can you tell me about the z harmonics problem at 7500rpms or is that only with the l24 l28s
  14. Steve what setup where you thinking of doing i dont know but just to make it easy im thinking of just using a l24 crank and l24 9mm rods i dont know what i need to do to get the l20 crank to the 8to 1 i need for my turbo
  15. So maybe some one from rusch or sun belt can tell me how much weight can you take out of a l24 crank, rods and maybe some flat top je pistons. what would it cost to do this kind of stuff
  16. ok so i can get 8.0 to 1 or 8.5 to 1 with the 69mm crank. i was a bit whored about the 145mm rods giving me like 14 to 1 compression 135mm is giving me 8to1
  17. Dang it well i dont know if that will do me any good I want to us the 69mm stroke of the l20a but with 133mm conrods that just kills it lol
  18. L engine build is telling me the l20a conrods are 135mm
  19. I am wanting to build a l28 with l20a crank and conrods p90 head and t3/t4 turbo. I know it is best to go with as much CC as you can get but I i love the short stroke of the l20a, I am using the l28 for the large bore. so is there any thing that will make this not work i know i will need custom pistons but other then that is there any thing any one can tell me Thank.
  20. are the l20a rods and crank as strong as the l24-l28 rods and crank ? there is not much talk about this I don't think to many people are looking to destroke there engine as I am. and one more thing can some one tell me why is 1.60 the ideal rod to stroke ratio ? is it so the rod is not to long or... ?
  21. Engine 1 l28 block 0.040 over with Flat top pistons l28 crank and l24 conrods p90 head 2mm head gasket engine 2 l28 block 0.040 over flattop pistons l24 crank and l20a conrods p90 and 1mm head gasket tell me what you guys think.
