you will need HID projector lenses for it to be SAFE, albeit not legal. you can still use the HIDs, tho. try to find BMW/audi headlights and cut out the projector lens.

the best thing for you to do is find some wider rims with close to a 0 offset. safest bet.

i was just reading a similar thread LOL
anyway, i HATE ebay vendors like that. you know, the ones who charge NOTHING for the item and charge way too much for shipping; so if you aren't satisfied they will refund you $5 and not 40 (shipping nonrefundable, sorry!). it's a dishonest way to screw over consumers who unwittingly buy a crappy product and aren't satisfied and also a way to screw ebay out of their fees. i always report a$$hats like that. /rant

interesting thread and very informative. if you really want HID and don't want to pay out the ass, you can get projector housings from ebay for around $90 and an HID kit for around $200. BUT it WILL NOT be legal and will be dangerous and blinding to other drivers. almost guarantees a ticket here in sunny CA. IMHO, do it once and do it right.

i thought that a 'too lean' condition was the reason headers would get too hot [not enuf fuel to keep the engine cool]?
that's the case with the motor running hot. if there is still fuel left to burn in the headers then it's basically a second combustion chamber.
