This project is a very random, but cool one.

Is it just me, or does the espada look very similar to a dodge challenger, except a wagon of course.

we're all here to help, but you need to make the effort to try searching. Do a quick search for holset, a bunch of stuff should come up. The 280zx turbo is a fairly decent sized one comparted to most junkyard finds, as most cars don't come turbo. Saab, volvo, volkswagon are usually the junkyard finds, and they are tiny. The holsets are a bit pricey for a used turbo, but they seem to work great on the Zs.

I think the guy ended up selling it to a museum or something.

Currently bidding on it, so please don't jack it up.

You can get a T that is 1/8 NPT and just tap the hole to 1/8 NPT, thats what I did. The oil sending unit will thread into NPT, but NPT wouldn't work to well threading into the block. So 1 minute and a NPT tap fixed that.

I have plenty of experiance at changing oil, I work at an oil change facility. Goto your local oil change place, and they'll put in an oversize plug if possible. Probably a ford plug of some sort. Its quite common. A toggle plug(butterfly) is only for a last resort. They do ok....if you have nothing else, it sure does beat replacing the oil pan.
The oil change shop will charge you a few bucks for the plug, and if they pull a vaccum on the motor, you won't loose any oil. If your gonna do it yourself, just bring your plug in, and tell them you want an oversize plug that'll work. If it doesn't work, get a toggle plug.

Awhile back, one of my auto tech teachers told me to measure for current accross the wires to see if theres power. Find where the break is and put two pieces of tape parallel to the defrost line, and use clear nail polish to complete the circuit. I have never done this before, but whats the harm really, you can use nail polish remover if it doesn't work I suppose.

the stimulus package isn't suposed to go out till like may, right?
-
I would think its the same, how much you want for it? Kinda broke at the moment, but trying to get the Z running again.
-
Are these radiators interchangeable, I've owned both, but never paid much attention to them, untill mine has a crack, and theres only an S130 at the JY.
-
It looks very similar to Dan Juday's car IIRC, its been awhile since I've seen a pic of his car. I know this isn't his, but he comes to mind when I see this pic.

Why not triple carb bodies(ITB setup) and do a blowthrough setup? It'd still be FI, and have a very old school appeal, with modern FI and boost.

that thing looks AWESOME

thats all I did, punch and tap a hole.

that is an awesome price, I paid 100 for my stainless 3" Scottie piece, granted, that was old, and well used. 100 for a BRAND NEW MSA 2.5" DP is perfect. On a stock T3 would 2.5" to a 3" dp make a big diffrence?

I had the volume up a bit too, and then BAM!!!, scared the crap out of me, that things is awesome.
Could I make a suggestion? Don't use Dexcool, I used to use it at work when servicing GM cars, and the stuff is horrible. You can see in reserve tanks where it gets all sludgy, and i've torn a few motors apart that you can see where dex has really takin some tolls with deposits. We have switched to a multi-vehicle extended life anti-freeze that it much better. Its made by prestone, its yellowish/green, and seems to be working great. No complaints on over-heating, and after a radiator flush, I haven't seen any of the vehicles come back sludgey

that header design looks extremely similar to an L28et Z i know, turbo mounted way up front and all.
Awesome design, wondering how well the design will work, so is the L28 guy.
-
those look amazing!!!

I got his number, I could call him up and let him know your lookin, but Mike is your best bet

Car parts, paid just about all my bills upto this point and money that I've owed my parents, o yah, I forgot....CAR PARTS maybe the Z will be running soon-I can always hope.

But i wouldn't remove the FI intake. with the ITB you have the best components to tune a NA motor. ITB FI is way better then trip carbs IMO
Thats a givin, its much easier to have the computer make all the adjustments on the fly with ITB's. I just love the carbs.

has absolutly nothing to do with the S20 whatsoever. I like the look of the motor, I think they sound great, they have a nice off-boost pull in turbo form. With some good cams, and mikuni's, I'm sure it would make a nice N/a motor.

kinda saw it coming, but it was funny.
