  1. Respiratory Therapist at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles. Very rewarding and absolutely appreciate my job.
  2. black S30 on a lift in the movie "The Postman" starring Kevin Costner during his cigarette find scene.
  3. I agree with Bryan(525) with the SE-R. You can even find an older Infiniti G20with that price range with a manual transmission. Reliable and fun to drive with great handling.
  4. I was watching the news this morning and I could swear I heard the them say it happened on Decker Canyon Rd and not PCH as mentioned in above link. Either way, it was an unfortunate event. Glad nobody was seriously hurt.
  5. brian, congrats with the sell and im sorry for the loss. I'll never forget the time you gave me a ride in your Z. First turbo Z car i've been in and was sold after that! Mark
  6. I just saw, an hour ago, a replica of Ferrari GTO(red) with Texas license plate, I'm not sure if its a 240Z/260Z/280Z but I'm positive its an S30. It was parked at a Holiday Inn hotel parking lot at Santa Monica, CA next to the 405 freeway. Too bad I didnt have my camera at the time with me.
  7. great find! i like the simple clean appearance. One question, is the hood customized or is that a scarab style hood? Reason being, when i purchased my 240Z, it came with the same exact louvered hood as yours.
  8. Bryan, I just ordered magnecor wires from http://www.cyberauto.com. I paid about $85 shipped. Mark
  9. I just drove the car tonight to take a friend for a spin. Initial problem was it would idle low and feels like it wants to stall during idle even when the car is hot(180 degrees). Haven't adjusted anything or replaced anything prior to this test run. Anyway, I basically ran the car hard from dead stop from 1st gear to 4th couple of times to show my friend what my car is all about, I have never ran my car so hard and oddly, it's boosting 8-9lbs but never really adjusted the boost since I dont have a boost controller yet(only 3" mandrel bend exhaust). So parking the car and letting it idle for a minute for a cool down, I noticed that the car is idling PERFECTLY at 20Hg on Vacuum(it was 9-10 before). So I waited for a minute and it just idled perfectly. I am excited. I'm thinking it was my injectors that was causing the poor idle and they cleared up when I drove the car really hard? Or the throttle blade/body? Any ideas and thoughts about this 'revelation'?
  10. Will definitely try to fiddle with the screw under the TB and hope for the better. thanks!
  11. Magnum, I was wondering if you have resolved your current low idle problem. I do have the same problem on my 81 turbo motor and have been looking for any vacuum leak but havent really found any but considering my bad mileage(15-17 mpg on stock boost), i assumed I have a leak. Vinh, A friend of mine also suggested the same adjustment but have been procrastinating as schedule permits me from fixing the Z. Appreciate your help guys
  12. I agree with Bastaad on the Eibach performance for street driving. It is very stable and lowers the car just about right. On the other hand, I do have a set of Tokico springs(red) in my 240z and I like them as well, I wanted to buy the Eibach set but I was drawn into the Tokico shocks/springs set deal. Either way, you'll be satisfied for street use.
  13. I agree with 260. Look for a donor car or a turbo motor and your life will be much easier and in the end, cheaper. I was in the same position couple of months ago and ended up buying a donor car and saved $$ in the end. As for your question, SEARCH and you shall find lots of answers.
  14. I saw that car at the MSA show. Looks like an s2000 front end.
  15. My l28et 240z, stock EVERYTHING except a 3" mandrel bent w/ magnaflow bullet muffler runs 7psi at WOT. From what I've gathered from the forum, a stock l28et boost is around 5-6psi.
  16. yes, I am very happy and satisfied. Just drove the car today for a good 120 miles total and loved it. Bryan, like Alex said, go down to his shop and he can take you for a spin on his SR powered Z. Plus, you'll get to see that good looking dash as well.
  17. Got my 73 240z with a recent 81 turbo engine swap back last night from Vildini Motorsport and she's running great(knock on wood). They did a 3" mandrel bent exhaust, complete wirings, fuel surge tank and other misc. "while at it" stuff and I cant say enough good things about their service. Friendly and great work. Highly recommendable. Ive had the car for almost the 2 years now and been plaqued with a steering wheel shaking at 60mph, one of the main reason why I rarely drove the car but when I changed all 4 new tires yesterday, the car is steady as a rock at 60-80mph. I love this car even more now with its new turbo engine! Anyway, I just want to share my good experience to the forum.
  18. congrats alex. too bad you didnt get to give me a ride in the SR20Z earlier. can't wait to see the car in person at the MSA show.
  19. Im definately going this year. I'm hoping for the engine swap to be finished and running by that weekend. If not, I'm definately still going. Hope to meet ya'll there. By the way Tim, would you happen to have some extra stickers or shirts left to bring to the show? I'd love to buy some if you still have them or anybody that is going to the show and can sell it to me. please? Mark
  20. I wont be able to make it because of work but i wish you luck and have fun. Hope to see you and your car again next month at Buena Park. Hopefully by then ill get to drive my Z after i finished installing my suspension. It's a little pain to drive my Z on the freeway right now as the shocks are worn out.
  21. fastzcars, i saw your car that nite at fuddruckers right? very nice indeed. i'm not sure if you know my friend Rommel, he's a regular attendee. my gf thinks your car is "cute" and told me to paint my car the same color as yours(originally silver but primered now).
