  1. Thanks for the compliments. The rims are 7.5 wide. Hopefully I wont need coil over even though I plan to put them on the in the future. I figure since the rim is a inch higher I will have a little more clearance.

Hey Ross I guess I’ll be getting those spacers from you soon. The last time we talk I told you I was searching for some good rims that would look good on the Z.

  2. Well I had a few people tell me not to put 18" rims, but I'm glad I didn't listen =) I was going to get these rims new but in 17" but I came across these 18" used for a great price and he delivered to my house.

I'll need spacers (Honda Offset) and maybe need coilovers. I hope you guy's like it...

My old rims... big difference in looks. (15" rims)

I almost forgot to mention the rims are in front of the old rims and not mounted on the car =)

  3. Thank You everyone for your reply. So far I have a spacer and put longer studs. The turbo mounts fine without the wastegate actuator which is the problem. I wanted to see how many of you came across this problem or not. This is what the seller emailed me referring the wastegate and that I had to modify the wastegate and no one sells it with you doing modifications to the wastegate...

"This modification is in no way to be bolt on. Nobody does!, you can ask all your Z owners and if they ever did a bolt on...nobody! nobody!...its a modification."

So guy's what do you think, is it true or not. I don't thing this is true but have to here it from you guy's first.

I am hoping to get more response so I can prove to this person that he is wrong.

    Thanks Again!

  4. Here's my problem, the manufacture didn't tell me I had to get a spacer and modify the internal wastegate controller (don't know name =)). He only mentioned that I had to get a new down pipe. Has anyone purchase a T3/T04 and had to modify your wastegate to make it fit. As you can see on the picture if I was able to get the wastegate part bolted it would not clear the intake manifold.

Has anyone experience this problem or not? Your answer will be very important to me because of me dealing with the seller.

    Thank You!

  5. Well I looked around and the cheapest I found someone to fab one up is $30. I'm going to have one done so if anyone is interested let me know ASAP. I'll call him on Monday to let him know the quantity. If you decided to get one, there's backing out. I don't want to pay for something I already have and can’t use. I'll just charge $35 shipped. You can get it at Corky (bellengineering.net) for $30 + shipping and handling, just let him know you measurements - his number is 830-438-2890. It’s made out of steel.

  6. Mike,

I will defiantely let you know when I find the spacer or find away around it. If anyone know's where to get one please let us know. Corky wants $30 (not including shipping) and turbonetics don't make it. Oh when you get your turbo, you have to rotate the compressor and turbin because it will not be position correctly, you'll know what I mean when you get it. Also If you plan to use a boost controller, you will have to drill on the compress side so you can put the hose from the wastegate to the hole made then you would put a T fitting inbetween in middle of the house for the boost controller (I think that's right).

Well here's a picture of the turbo and you can see why you need a spacer.

  7. Hey Guy's... I bought a new turbo T3/T04E Stage III .63 a/r 54 trim. Well the problem I have is with the cold side of the turbo (inlet), the housing hits the exhuast manifold. I can't bolt the turbo on all the way. I need almost 3/4 of an inch to clear the manifold. Has anyone had this problem? If yes please tell me how you fixed it? or anyone has any suggestions?

    Much Thanks in Advance,

    Ron

I am hoping that I am making somewhere around 300-325hp @ the rear wheels now. Just looking for everyones opinion whether or not to install a 3 inch exhaust.

BTW my turboz is for sale

    Hey Owen,

You well get more HP from a 3" exhause compaired to 2.5. I've read articles on that and it has proven you get more HP from the 3".

Me and my friend had 2nd gen RX7 Turbo, I had more stuff then he did but I had a 2.5" and he had 3" exhaust. I would kill him bad off the line, but when we were in the freeway he slowly pulls away from me. I would defiantly get a 3".

  9. Hey Guy's I found the post from ebay, don't know why it changed. Here's the link and the description. He is selling them for $18.71 and $6 to ship no matter how much you buy.

  10. Thanks for the education on the 11 degree, I had no idea what it was he just told me it acts like BOV and though he said 11 degree bend, LOL. Well I wanted a turbo that can put me in the 12's with decent spoolup. I don't want to use NOS to get me out of the hole.

The trim is actually 54 and not 48. I hoping to achieve 300RWHP. This would be my temporary setup. Where I got the 450+RWHP is from a post from StealthZ using Garret T3/T04E Stage V .69 a/r 50 trim (read first post).

Well my final plan for my motor setup (hoping)is to put a rb26dett stock motor w/ rb25 tranny using SDS with a little larger injectors than stock and a huge intercooler is what I'm hoping. Don't plan to start til 2-3years from now and most like going to get a loan off of my home. Still doing research but mostly worried about replacement parts. I found a place in LA that would sell me the motor and tranny for $3800 complete(without harness and computer). I would say that's not bad considering I am planning to get a loan for $20K for the Z project which includes paint/body.

  11. I've read that the 1975 Mercedes 450SEL 420C Stock Injectors can be use on the ZT cars... see link http://z31.com/jwt.shtml

Well I found this on ebay brand new Bosch Injectors but it list that it's for the 76-80 450SEL. Does anyone know if this will be a direct drop in? BTW there selling for $18 a piece and he has a lot of them in stock, here's the link.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=595712151&r=0&t=0

  12. I still don't trully understand the 11 degree term. From what he told me... I believe the builder bends the turbin 11 degrees so when you back off it doesn't create a bid surge and acts like a blow off valve. Hope it makes sense.

So you guy's with the bigger turbo don't have problems in traffic to traffic driving, well I don't know what to get (deciding on which configuration), I do want a turbo that will spool up at 1700rpm or less.

BTW He mention the turbo can push a max of 32PSI.

  13. Hey Clint... I almost decide going to the 57 trim since TIMZ has it and is known to be Fast. I think I will try out the 54 trim. On TimZ's turbo, I am not sure if he got this option... the guy called it 11 degree... I got this option and what it does is it acts like a blow off value. BTW Do you know what fuel management he's using? Thanks!
