  1. Hi, thx for the tip. However, I would prefer to find soething on my side of the ocean . Can anyone answer my question (I changed the topic) Thanks.
  2. OK, one more question: I found out that some eBay sellers offer clutch sets which should fit 200SX, 280ZX and 280Z. Searching this path I have found - in Poland - a clutch for 200SX (S13), which is 225mm in diameter... I know this might be a stupid question - but does anyone know if this could be what I am looking for? Thanks
  3. Hi Guys, I need your help. I want to replace clutch on my '76 280Z (it has a stock 4-speed transmission). Unfortunately I have a problem with finding a 225mm clutch here in Poland - 240mm sets however are available. I found some topics where people speak about replacing their 225mm clutches with 240mm, but I did not find the info what needs to be replaced in order to fit it. Will it bolt on?? Thanks for help! Andrzej
  4. As for the LPG conversion - I don't know the price relation between LPG/Gas in US, but here in Poland LPG costs half the price of the Gas. I had LPG installed in my daily driver - Mistubishi Lancer... no, not EVO - 1.6L sedan - after first 1000 km (i bought it new). Now, after few years and 110.000 km I estimate the money saved at c.a. 6-6,5K USD. And it's fuel consumption is ca 10 liters per 100km. The higher the consumption the higher the saving . No issues with the car, however I've heard that some engines are not recommended for using LPG. The temperature of burning the LPG is higher than Gasoline. You don't need to remove gasoline system in either carburator nor injection systems - they will work on one engine. The system uses gasoline when the car is cold, after reaching "operating" temp. it switches to LPG. You can manually switch between them as well. One of the cons of that solution is the range of the car on LPG - the tank that fits in spare tire place have the capacity of ca 35 liters - you can use bigger tanks, unfortunately they limit the space in your trunk. The main problem You could have in US is finding the LPG fuel station, where You'd be able to refill...
  5. Yeah, but on the other hand - there are some people that own Datsunz here... Maybe we should start an european users thread - for local informations, etc.
  6. Hehe, I'm also waiting for a 280z to arrive in Europe . Maybe, one day, we will have the oportunity to meet on a Z-car spot in Europe . Pozdrowienia z Polski!
  7. Damn I'm in love with two Z's: Dtsnlvrs's and Slammed68's. Now what should I do? Maybe I should paint mine in red/white marlboro pattern? Here's a photo of my 280Z:
  8. Great! Thanks for Your advices! I will keep You informed on the registration status!
  9. Thanks for that answer Notsurewhattoput. It was probably my fault You didn't understand what I was looking for... ;/ Peace.
  10. Thanks for the advice - I will ask them . However, I don't think that I need to prove that wilwoods were used in 70's. It would be enough to get some info of any 4 disc brake setup being used in racing Zs from 70's. Some pictures, maybe advertisments will do the trick. Same goes with coilovers... Any idea where should I look for it? Daeron: You are right on the originality issue with suspension and brakes - there is no way they will go as original parts. However, if I prove that those modifications are "period-correct" I will have strong argument in fighting for my Zs "vintage car status". I don't think that changing the title to one regarding importing is what I should do - I want to find some info on Racing Zs from 70's and modifications from that period . I will ask them to change the title to a more precise one or move the thread where it belongs. Thanks!
  11. Well, I know who makes them, and I always use search option before asking anything on any forum. What You should learn is to understand people who use english as their second/third language, and might need some extra help from such a skilled members like you. What I wanted to find out is if the conversions mentioned by me in the first post (4 disc brakes, coilovers) were made to Zs at the time they were produced. E.g. - somebody bought a Z in 1976 and than went to a racing-shop and did those conversions to have better driveability. Thanks
  12. Hi! I hope to get some help from You guys! I bought a 280Z recently, and want to register it in Poland as a vintage car. It is a special category for special vehicles and it has important to me advantages. There are some restrictions though. One is that I need a 75% originality of the car... and my Z has willwoods, and coilovers on 4 corners. The question is: Does anybody know if those modifications were made at the time Datsuns were in production? Thanks
  13. Hi, I am new here, so please excuse me, if I did something wrong posting my message here. As You can see in my profile I am from Poland, but despite the distance I am willing to buy a classic Z (240z, 260z or 280z) and ship it to my country... and to do that I need Your help and advice. Is there any way, to check a car without coming to place where it's located? - Can You recommend me some kind of company for hire to do that? If not - perhaps anyone knows a car for sale near Baton Rouge (LA) that I could see between 12-30 December? I am looking for a car in very good condition, that could be used as an ocassionally driven car without investing additional money. It might be customized, but it's original character has to be kept (I am going to register it in Poland as a classic/unique vehicle). Thanks.
