Okay, i'm looking into the R-32 swap into my automatic transmission 71 240z. Now aren't the skyline motors AWD? What i'm wondering and I know a lot of you are going to say use the search thing and i have been. however, i'm curious how it is that you guys are installing an AWD transmission into an RWD car? And how is it that I can do the same? Okay one more question, the motor mounts, I'm going to have to use z-31 motor mounts correct? And the driveline should be the right length? Basically I'm looking to do what Stoney did with his z. Something similar, but of course better , if anybody in the San Jaquin Valley, or Kern County, CA who has done the swap or something similar would be a great help. Now I just need the money and all the other parts woo, bankrup city here i come.

You guys are talking about using a turbo manifold and intake from what exactly? Also if you running a four barrel carb with a blow through style turbo, the only thing the carb needs to do is provide fuel right? So why not use run rich through the carb to help prevent detonation. Someone was saying that the 4bbl carbs don't provide fuel evenly, but should that matter considering the air is being forced through it? One more question with the 4bbl intake manifold can you use any 4bbl card at all?

Okay, I'm sure that this has been answered before, but I've been searching for 3 hours now and can't find anything. I own a 72 240Z, what I'm wanting to know is if i can run a turbo or twin turbo system through this engine, with out having to run an ECU. I figured upgrade to a 4 barrel carb to help out with fuel, upgraded fuel pump, and upgraded to an MDS ignition system. What other type of modifications would i have to make this work?

The flutter could be caused by a couple of things. 1) Lop-sided pressure. 2) Un-proper valve seating in the intake (forcing the exhaust back through the intake valve during hard acceleration). 3) Exhaust leak or pipe leaking or bad gaskets. 4) Bad lubrication in the turbo. 5) Blow-by (bad piston ring seal in one or more pistons) Thats all that I can think of. It may be just the turbo, however, it could be numerous problems with the engine itself and since there isn't another turbo mounted to compare it to, its hard just to tell with such little description. If you have heard it run, is there anything that sounds like a bolt somewhere in the block (that would signify a detonated piston which is common with forced intake systems). Also i've heard but don't know for sure, that if you don't have enough backpressure in the exhaust system that it won't properly turn the turbo over. Since it "runs fine at low rpm" its probably because there isn't enough pressure to make bad piston rings, exhausts leaks noticeable. I hope that this helps. Also, in my town, I could by a TH350 for around 300 dollars. As for clearence I'd recommend talking to TurboMeister, he seems to have a lot of experience with turbo clearence and such. Tyson

What size is your fuel pump. my current and new one is a 110gph at 8psi, will that be sufficient? And also does a double pumper carb help out in the aspect of fuel delivery

Turbo, would I be able to see the beuaty of yours that evey I look is referred to. and you only running a 750cfm carb?

Alright I've heard that you can use LT1 shorty headers upside down to run two turbos. Is this better than Twin T3 turbo system with the turbos mounted behind the headers just like a regular block, similar to the STS Remote Mounted Turbo, but with shorter pipe travel. If you don't know what it is please look it up through google just type in STS Turbo and click to find out how it works. Please let me know about what you think of this turbo idea.

The remote mounted Twin turbo system can be found by looking up STS Turbo in google. However I've heard the the Tuned Port Injection can handle higher horsepowe and that it is the Throttle Body Injection which cannot. My main goal is to do some major street pounding with occasional drag racing. Therefore I'm going with the 700RE tranny just for my long commute to and from work. One of you has said that a carb is easier to tune and the other said the TPI was easier to tune. Which one is it? And if I do eventually turbo it will the carb be able to keep up? Sorry if this is pretty much a repeat of the last question.

Okay, I've got my 350 Chevy SBC that I'm rebuilding. I have nice performance cam with duration at .50 being 224 and 281 at .00. The compression ratio will be up around 10.1:1 with the new "beehive" springs and roller rocker arms. I'm running stock 64cc heads and have come down to the deciscion of fuel injection or carb. Eventually I'd like to do a remote mounted Twin Turbo system putting out small boost levels. The carb that i'm looking at is a 750cfm double pumper and was wondering if that would be sufficient enough to supply fuel for the turbos. Also with the TPI off of early 90's camaro's I've heard cannort handle camshafts with high durations, therefore having the added cost of recalibrating the computer. Also I don't know a single thing about wiring systems, therefore causing a negative mark for the TPI. Any feedback would be appreciated. Please let me know your pro's and con's and what you think of my system.

I just bought a 260z and am putting a 350 in it. However I'm wanting to run the T5 Camaro 5 speed tranny, but I do not know if it will fit right and wether or not i have to make changes the the drivetrain. Also I'm wondering if the rear end can handle a 400+ horespower motor and still function well. If any one could please help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
