You will be 100% Ok

So this is CORRECTED numbers and not RWHP, RWTQ?
-
Yes it will be incorperated as my daily driver. I usually drive about 3-4 different cars a week, just so I dont get board with one. I have a 4 runner, I like to drive, a 71 240z, my 77 280z stroker, and now this RHD car, and a 1936 buick, and so on.

Well I'm going to ask the question thats bound to be asked soon. My question is....drum roll please...when if ever would this head ever be produced for the general public?
No, I will never make it availble to the public. It would cost 5 times as much as a RB26 motor set.
-
I just looked, and its the highest veiwed and replied post to ever be in the L 6 section!
-
well, soon to be one of 2.
Well see how soon
I put about another 125 miles on it today, in 99 degree az heat, and no over heating problems whatsoever. I have an oil leak somewhere, I need to track that down. And my CV axles are vibrating like crazy, so Im swapping in u joint styles tonight.

From my research, it is the ONLY twin cam head on a L series block stateside, is this correct, or does someone know of one I dont.

HAHA, you guys really think it would blow up, what kind of faith do you have in me! LOL. NO it runs FLAWLESSLY, and honestly, it outperforms what I thought it would do. At only 7 PSI, it PULLS, and I mean PULLS. I would have to guess somewhere around 350 HP, and that in TQ also. And for only 7 PSI, thats pretty impressive to me. I am STILL only pushing it to 5400 RPM, and its STILL at a 10.2-1 AFR. I will start datalogging tomorrow, and get it to that perfect 12.5 afr for now. My wife wasnt a very good camara man, so, I tried to do it myself. I have about 300 miles on the motor now, and it stays cool, holds water pressure. I can let the car sit, for say 20 minutes, then go out and pull the radiator cap off, and it will still blow off pressure, so that says there are NO leaks. Anyways, this is probably the last vids I will post for awhile. I know the video quality sucks, but this is just to show it can take the boost! Man, I thought my silver car which is NA and runs mid 12's was fast, but DAMN, this car would eat my silver car for LUNCH, and DINNER at only 7 PSI. I was worried about how the turbos would spool when I was building the motor, but I am PLENTY pleased.
-
Im at 7 PSI currently. I will get a vid when I get a chance I have about 200 miles on the motor currently, had LOTS of rust in the fuel tank, and got that squared away now. The car has More HP, at 4 PSI then my 12 second NA car does.
-
Man, I dont think I would want to do a tripple turbo setup. My twin was ALOT of thinking and complicated.
-
Ok, So I took my Fairlady out for a FIRST drive EVER, with the new DOHC engine. No boost, Megasquirt still needs LOTS of tuning, which I havent even startedt to do yet. CHarge pipes and everything is hooked up, stays nice and cool, after we got our venting problems fixed. Has LOTS of torque, down low, thanks to the 4 valves. Probably more low end torque then my NA Silver Car motor with ITB's.
Here is some pics of the current setup.

Damn, I think you guys are more anxious to see it on the road than I am, LOL. I ran into some water port problems, the head needed a vent tube put in, so the air could get out of one portion of the head, so I have been working on that. Plus I have to keep our machine shop running at the same time, give me just a little more time, I promis, youll be the first to know when I get it out

I got delayed by ONE day, as My wifes 97 4runner water pump is trashed, and the timing belt had to be changed, so I spent all day doing that. Can you imangine how that convo would go," well honey, sorry but I cant work on your truck, and therefore you cant go to work, becasue I have to work on the same car I have been working on for the last few months, and take the bus to work, it will be good for you!"
Yea, I think not.
But I promise I will post progress right away on the driving.
-
Will be driving in 24-48 hours.

The Smalles L series ports.

Well atleast tony got the point! If any of you have seen my car at races, I always right blake machine on the side for the same reasons.
-
Just a FYI mack, some passages between the "thirds" have to be filled up, if not, the surfaces wont mate to eachother.
-
There actually is reasoning why, the text is like it is. There was already holes in the peice of material I had to use, so to bypass those holes, I swaped the text.
-
You CANT see the front timing cover when the cold pipes are installed. Onlything you can see it the valve cover, and the coil is gonna be mounted on the intake. So pretty much only the valve cover engraving is visible.
-
Some pics of the valve cover, minus oil fill cap, which is done, just not pictured.

Those were "stock" grinds on those cams. I sorta regret not doing regrinds, as I had to do all custom rotaters anyways. But theres always next time.

What was the RWHP numbers, as we all know THAT is what matters.
