Thanks David for the pics! They look great and thanks again for getting this done. Mine will probably sit until I can do the heads and new exhaust setup.
When are you installing yours so we can get some dyno number gains?!?!?!
-
Well just a heads up, you would be repainting the entire car if you remove the body kit. It is molded to every part of the car besides the doors and roof.
-
Here is what I don't get. I been showing you very nice cars in the 8-10k range and you tell me they are out of your price range but you want to buy a $5500 car - tear off a molded body kit and damage every panel of the car just to repaint it and you dont think that is going to cost you another $2k? Yeah I know that was a long run on sentence but I was trying to get to the point. I am still thinking Z cars are the wrong cars for you or just wait for what you want or increase your budget. Pretty simple.

Going to be attempting this swap as soon as I get the rebuilt alernator back from the shop. I also bought the MSA plug to try and make this a clean install. This will be for my early 260z.

Great vid - RB30DET Z would make a nice plate for the car
-
I like em, let me get this straight -basically $250 for the panels and then another $400 to cover them and the handle? Spal window switch will work on the handle as I guess that is what most people will go with.

I pm'd you on NYZCC.COM
I have a 260z tank and hood....located in the bronx.

I might be wrong but I thought the DSs were the same length from the s30 and s130 modles but the flange that bolts to the diff is different for the different yrs of R200s. Swap flange on the diff to the one that matches the zxt DS and you should be ready to go.

I think it looks good - I would black out the inner door handle. Anyway to get the wrap tighter where the rise is by the speaker? How long did it take?
-
Glad to see you are back....you have lots of orders!
-
It was delivered today......thanks.

Pallnet can you confirm FR shipped?

Yeah, my last build I had a nicked o ring on the FR. You know what that looks like at 60 psi! lol
Ross have someone there with you when you do the first true start up.

John - I want one like that! Hope to do a track day this year.
Mike nice bike!

Depends on your budget and what you want to use the car for. If it is just to have a Z and drive....sure as long as it is safe. Your $2k budget here in the northeast isn't going to get you much here. The dash looks to be mint and the car looks complete. Great starter to learn on. If you are looking to make a racer out of it and can't weld, I say pass until you can afford a cleaner car to start with.

Plan 3 and be done. Can be done for cheap if you find the right donor as stated. You will be happy with that swap esp if you are not chasing huge hp numbers.

Hmm, heat for about 5 mins to an area to get wrinkles and such out. How fast does your contact cement dry? When the vinyl is hot it sure does stretch! I was trying to get it as wrinkle free as possible and look like factory.

You guys running the ls1 tanks, is it possible to get a center exhaust? I plan on picking up a plastic tank soon and redoing the entire exhaust. I would like to keep performance in mind here.
