Check the wire to see if it is hot in both START and run. This may be your problem.

I have the aluminum slave for a T5 on my T56.It came from Summit Racing. I drilled and tapped it for a -3 fitting. It has been fine for three years.

Looks Great!!!

It's a Strong Arm part #4313 It came with replacement mounting studs but I reused the old ones. I didn't have to do any mods but it may have been replaced before.

Nice job.

I'm so glad it worked. This is the first time I haven't had to use a stick since 1998 when I bought the car.
-
Sparks280zt your right about the vice grips. I see you live in NC to I live in Asheboro. Thanks Sparks280zt I have driven this car since 1998 like this I'm a little slow to sometimes.

Scraped the undercoating off one wheel well. Holes drilled for new frame rails and seat bracket installed. New $18 hatch strut installed.

That is a generic picture on there web site. The strut looks just like the one in my car. The only difference is one of the sockets is at a slight angle,it doesn't affect its operation and you don't notice it. I will take a picture tomorrow when I work on the floors.

240Zs have a single strut. 260s and 280s have 2 struts. You can get new ones from Advance for $18.00

WTB: 280zx 3.9 R200 and 280z mustache/diff mount/transverse link
72240Z replied to spitz17's topic in Parts Wanted
I have these parts. 1. the mustache bar 2. the front differential mount and insulator 3. the rear transverse link mount If you are swapping this into a 240 you may also need. 1.280 stub axles 2.input flange I have these parts to. I would like to trade for a rust free passengers side front fender. The only problem is I am located in North Carolina and I think it may cost to much to ship the parts. -
WOW 82BlackNAGoldzx that looks even worse than mine. I haven't worked on the Z in a while but I may work on it tomorrow. If I do I will post some more pix. ModernS30 My friend Kieth did most of the work I just cut parts off and cleaned things.

The floors are from Zedd Findings http://www.datsunzparts.ca/NewParts/summary.htm the frame rails are from Bad Dog http://www.baddogparts.com/ the rest of the patches are cut from old car hoods.
-
Yea but your just a kid.

Found some more rust. Another patch. Welded in. We had to reshape the floor to fit the transmission tunnel with the T56. Kieth the bodyman doing the work.

Looks good 240zboy. I'm in North Carolina, what part of the country are you in? My car already has an LT1 and a 6 speed in it. I raced it like this and it didn't twist in half. Here's a video of the car the first week I got it running It was my daily driver till I started the rust repair. Good luck with your car.
