  1. Well, right now I'm just focusing on getting the durn thing running again. My list of body-related woes: It had an "el cheapo" paint job, aka "$199 Maaco Special" where they didn't remove any glass so I've got the hard ridges everywhere. Minor dents all along both sides Antennae hole needs filling, either with antennae or welded panel Someone removed the stock right hand mirror (Black Pearls came standard with the right hand mirror) and did a crap-tastic job with the holes in the door Some minor rust around the windows I keep going back and forth between doing a full off scouring of the whole vehicle, but with my fundage tank so empty at the moment, I don't want to see it sit for 2 (more) years gathering dust while I work on it... /sigh
  2. Ok, here's the damage: Is there a DIY way to fix this? Or am I just stuck with a big body shop bill? For those who have been in my vbGarage, this is my "Cursed Driver's Rear Bumper with Truck Damage".   5. Hey, no worries here. No, I'm not willing to pay 15 grand for a head, but I'm also not gonna pester people about it. If it's on the web, I'll read it, but I try not to actively annoy people for information. I'll go back and re-read the thread for any info I might have over-looked. I guess I was a bit disappointed about how little info google found when I put in "DEVAS" and "camless".

Right now (and for the foreseeable future) it's an academic interest, but I'm trying to find some good resources so I can read up on it, but I'm coming up pretty dry.   9. With ZG Flares, can you fill the holes where the bolts go and blend them in? I like the width, but I'm not supar-keen on the bolt look. Second question, what trimming needs to be done to the real wheel well in order to run wider meats without rubbing? Sorry for the n00b-ness...

  12. I've got a diff sitting here that the P.O. told me was a 4.11. I'm assuming that means it's an R200, am I right? Also, how do I verify what the P.O. told me so that I can be sure that it's a 4.11? Thanks, Beren
  13. I inherited a bunch of old parts from the P.O, and one of these is an ECU with a part number of: "A11-621 601". I think that's it. It's also stamped with "1105" on it. Can anyone tell me what Z(X) this is from, and whether or not it's from a turbo application? Thanks, Beren
  14. I just got a L28 from a 79 280zx to swap into my Black Pearl. The engine in my 280 is not original and needs a rebuild, so I picked up this engine for $300, and will rebuild the other engine as time permits. Here's my issue. When we pulled the exhaust manifold off the "new" engine to replace the intake/exhaust manifold gasket, the lining of cylinder #3's exhaust port was white! (The pictures only show cylinders 2-5) Pic 1 Pic 2 Does this indicate that this cylinder was running lean? What's going on here? My brother-in-law was concerned when he saw it and said he wouldn't trust the engine. Any ideas? Thanks in advance...
