  1. but even with half the valance being allocated to ram air their would be little benefit? I know cold air is a perk but never mind that for now, if your at 65 mph @ 2000 rpm there would be very little benfit even if half the valance area was ramming air in? i would think there would be atleast 1 psi over bar wouldn't there? And even if not isnt it better for the engine not to have to created a vacccumm and be fead air?

  2. Usings a 3 hole kaminari front air dam and routing all of its holes into ram air for the engine would you feel any boost or would it just be cold air benefit? Basically if 1/2 of the car's frontal area with air dam was used towards ram air would any boost be felt, if so how much? Not sure if it is worth it but if it adds 2-3 psi thats still good

  3. bastaad525 have you done the bump steer mods to your 240z's? maybe this coupled with the eibach and tokico's might own? are those eibach progressive? Also remember ur comparing a front wheel drive car to a rear wheel.... also did you change bushings (stock ones are probably all cracked by now).

THis leads me to a general question acctually, has any one at all done the bumbsteer mod, and is there any noticeable effect?

  4. Okay this is a realtively vague question and obviously results are going to be biased. But, in terms of handeling is the porche 944 or the 240z superior in stock form? and overall?

please tell why try not to be too biased :)

  5. Hello i don't remember seeing anything about this before on the forums so ill ask, what is the cheapest way to get the 302 to go from its stiock 225 hp (i believe) to a more amiable 300 hp for a relatively low amount of money?

Can it be done for under $300 using common JY parts? under $500 with new parts? just wondering. thanks!

  6. I drive a 92 ford explorer 5 spd at 35mph and 850 rpm... thats for cruising on those 35 mph streets. Mash 1st to 35 then fifth not a good idea but its quirky and i like it, plus it doesnt require pretty much any gas to run at that speed but uh, acceleration, shift to 2nd... is this bad for gas milage just wondering? thats the main reason i do it. (i never push the gas to where u start to hear that "groan or moan" so it always sounds normal just like its idleing nothing like itss struggling to spool up)

  7. ya uh chevy sucks. why not just slap a turbo on a 302 someone was claiming 580 hp by 550 lbft from a 10 psi boost single turbo they were selling the setup on ebay. Went for about $400-500 why waist by adding useless weight and not getting a good gain. I think you would also muck up the handeling considering that fox's were so light compared to other stangs it would make sense to use that great advantage for acceleration+precise handeling

  8. ur right about the heater hoses i ment as close to the firewall and down as far as possible with out sacrificing streetability... also a heater + fan are nice for dual radiator action. If you are cheap, run an older car with poorer radiator, or are simply stuck in miles of traffic on a 90 degree day it is quite nice to be able to shunt some of the heat to a second raditor with a good fan. So yes make sure hoses fit!

    302

    Shorty headers.

    stock hp (225??) - 350

    T-5

    R-200 w/ LSD

Very intrested in mounts that will smack that 302 right up against the firewall, also intrested in tranny mount.

Is 225 the stock hp for a 1994 block? just wondering if so does any one know how i can make that into about 300 with little money (under $300)?

  10. I dont know.... i think it looks like crap with the top up and the trunk when closed looks to plain vanilla for too long. Like an empty wall. Other then that its pretty cool. Oh ya i dont like convertables either..... thats just me

  11. why is my crank okay after 30 years..... and why didnt they simply counterwieght it if it was nissan's racing division? hmm even if u change the crank on a 240z its still fuinny to see an over head cam beat the tar out of a 911 air cooled 4 cam

  12. Could someone who has done the S12W swap (4x4 toyo calipers i belive) tell me what is needed? I know you obviously need the 4x4 callipers but do you need a spacer? and if so how wide? What rotors can you use with this calliper? and is the stock master cylinder sufficent if you are running a 240z with these and upgraded maxima rear diisc conversion? thanks!
