itzgoten
Very nice! What kind of rubber are you running? Still running tires from my old setup.. BFGoodrich gForce Sports.. after these are done I'm not getting anything under 200 treadwear.. at the track I'm running Hankook Ventus Z214 on a spare set of wheels. itzgoten
Oct. 2010... Goodies came in the mail!! GT35R divided housing, 2 Tial 44mm v-band WG's, Tial 50mm BOV. My Full-Race manifold that didn't end up working!! dammit! I had to return this afterwards and ate a crappy restocking fee.. But it worked out for me at the end of the day. Notice that each runner is cut after it was all put together. It was suppose to relieve stress on the flange and runner during heavy use. I love car parts in the mail.. it's better than Christmas! quick mock up of everything.. Edited June 1, 2011 by itzgoten
itzgoten
crankshaft came back.. I had it balanced at the machine shop.. you can see where they did some grinds to balance the weight. Block being put together.. We brought it back to the shop and put on the head. Apex'i headgasket! and a quick mock-up to enjoy its beauty!! itzgoten
Out with the old! And in with the new!!! (we used a spare valve cover.. didn't want to scratch the goods.. hehe) It was a very nasty fit.. so I had to return the manifold. time for a custom one off manifold! itzgoten
I sent the car out to a local fab shop and he made me a custom twin scroll manifold. He took some pics of the build process for me. he also made a custom full v-band exhaust for me while he was at it.

itzgoten
I sold my old motor with the red top so I have grey one back.. the blue will be saved for the final product BLOX vacuum box. Fuel lines that I'll be using. Going to remove my old stock lines. Sump I'm going to use for a baffled gas tank. I bought a STi R180 so I'm removed my R200 in preparation for the diff and new axles. I removed the old bushings off the mustache bar and put in poly bushings And everything mounted.. The R180 is ugly as crap but I got it for 250 SHIPPED. Couldn't ask for more.. it's a 04 STi diff with the 3.9 gear that I needed. Edited June 1, 2011 by itzgoten
itzgoten
I sent out my plumbing to get ceramic coated. It took over a month but it was worth the wait. These pictures don't do it justice. The quality is phenomenal. The exhaust side of the turbo came out beautiful The turbo mani, wastegates and dump tubes were mocked up to see how it'd look.. I'm satisfied with going this route. And turbo and downpipe put in.. Now I wish I didn't return the old polished intake manifold. I would swap it out but the current one is port matched already. Would hate to have paid for that and not use it.. oh well.. It'll look something like this when it's done.. probably use different intake piping but at least it gives me a general idea. itzgoten
I pulled out the gas tank.. had it boiled out and cleaned.. sent it to out welder and had him put in a custom baffle with the sump I purchased.. it came out ok.. here's how it looked.. itzgoten
CUSTOM AXLES CAME IN!!!! Totally wasn't what I was expecting. SUPER BEEFY. Custom STI inner, Porsche CroMo axles, 240z outter. all CV joints vs. the u-joints. Rated at 700hp And at the end of the day this was cheaper than getting John's STI stubs with the wolfe axle setup. Plus this holds more power. These can be replicated for anyone who is interested. and the axles with the car on the ground. LoneStarS30Z
I realize by this point you know what you're doing more than most of us here, but make sure you shield that BMC some how. I'm friggin jealous though man, I only wish I could've done this much to my SR when I had one.

I'm friggin jealous though man, I only wish I could've done this much to my SR when I had one. thanks for the heads up and we are.. I'm looking to have a custom heat shield made and I'll probably get that space foil just in case.. the ceramic coating is good at holding in heat up to 1600deg I believe. Nonetheless you are 100% correct. That was my concern but my brother (part owner of the shop) told me not to worry. That will take place before the car ever hits the road.. Cusco front strut came in.. nothing fancy but I love car parts.. -=) And the gas tank is back and installed. I bought a solid diff mount a buddy had laying around.. and ZCC tow hooks came in as well.. lovely! one for me and one for my buddy.. and here's a look at the new fuel lines that were ran
itzgoten
Baby Jesus.. I'm all caught up.. so no more updates for a few weeks.. Just waiting on some fittings for the oil return lines and some coolant lines.. more to come! My birthday was in May and look what my buddies got me! We're going to race in July.. hopefully the Z will be alive by then!
LoneStarS30Z
Lucky! All my buddies are broke a**holes lol. Those T3 tension rods and LCA look nice, how's the quality? I need both when I go coilovers.
itzgoten
All honesty.. I know a lot of members are pro-Arizona Z Car but his LCA's suck because they cannot be adjusted on car. His parts look like porn and I wish I could use them but maybe they need to copy T3's style and make it adjustable ON CAR.. same for his rear LCAs.. so when I have the money I'm getting the T3 rear LCA's too. The quality looks LEGIT and they mailed it to me in one day. I guess they're not too far away. And as far as my friends.. they are good people.. but in return.. thats 9 people's B-Days I can't miss now. And that means for sure I need to put in some $$ on their B-Days! It's great but at the same time.. I'm paying for it later.. hehe
itzgoten
oh yea.. and another thing that bums me out.. we tried to mount on the MSA rear sway bars on Monday and it was total fail. The axles are too beefy and now the sway bars won't fit. I saw the ST sway and they hook from the back of the diff.. that's even worse because there's even less space. I wonder if shorter endlinks would solve the problem. For now I'm just going to assume I can't run a rear swaybar.. -=(
LoneStarS30Z
Well atleast your turn in will be.....spirited Hmmm, gotta be someway to make it work.
itzgoten
we were able to work on the car some today.. added the oil feed and return lines on the turbo. still need to do the coolant lines for the turbo and both WG's FPR was installed. You can't see it but we intentionally installed the gauge upside down. This way when we lean over and look at it, it'll actually be right side up.. haha.. I thought that was pretty cool. pulleys were installed but I never really took a picture.. since all this engine bling is starting to accumulate I've been thinking about blinging out the alternator too? Maybe.. we'll see.. Vacuum box was installed.. believe it or not all ports was used. We even split the line going to the side. You never realize what you have until the time of.. boost gauge, boost solenoid, FPR, MAP sensor, Apex'i AVC-R, both wastegates, BOV hopefully we'll get more done soon
itzgoten
Hmmm, gotta be someway to make it work. If you find a way let me know! LOL. I think I'll just sell the swaybar on CL.. I have a rear cage and it should be plenty stiff.. I'm able to get the rear out fairly easy at the track so I'm not too worried.
