jessejames
I just installed the borg warner efr 6258 on my sr20det. I cranked the motor over until i had oil come out the drain. I clamped everything. Started the car and let it idle for 5minutes. I then went to take it fora quick drive around the street when i noticed it wont build boost and sounds like a siren. Im using the build in wastegate and a blitz boost controller with hks blowoff valve. Its on the stock manifold. Is my turbo faulty? Does it sound like a boost leak?
RB26powered74zcar
Check the play in the compressor wheel. Can you see contact damage? Need more info / pics...
neotech84
Check all the pipes too. maybe you forgot a clamp? Or your gauge is not hooked up? Hoping you get lucky and don't have a dead turbo,
jessejames
Hey i figured it out. I feel like such an idiot. once the turbo downpipe was connected to the rest of the exhaust system the siren sound went away. I tightened the bolt on the actuator and i got boost. Thank you for your help.
