mutantZ
Seeing as how much of a headache it seems to be to find a 79-81 15/16 master cylinder these days, I did a search on the interwebs and came across this posting. I have not compared the space where the booster resides between and s130 and an s30. So asking to see if anyone has done this swap before, and if so would the booster cause an issue with the light s30? The s130 booster is larger. The master from an 82-82 s130 is listed at 15/16. http://www.zdriver.com/forum/showpost.php?p=278969&postcount=
dexter72
Yes the link is correct. I did this in my 260Z 7 years ago and it worked just fine. Flip the ZX booster upside down, remove the spacer if it has one, Bolt it in. Adjust the rod and your in business.
mutantZ
Thanks, if I can't source a master for my car, I'll just go this route. I wonder why the later ones are readily available and the earlier masters are scarce. Did everyone on this forum buy up all the overstock? seattlejester
That's what I'm guessing, same thing for the toyota calipers as well, for any other year it's ~30$ but for the 4x4 upgrade years it's ~70$
