CalifaThugz
I'm back after so much time. Man has it been rough for me. I sort of got out of working on my Z's so much that I forgot about them and sold them. I was turning into a desk jockey going after only the money. I was studying Computer Engineering everything was going good getting good grades 3.8 GPA but I noticed that I wasn't happy and I would never be if I went into it just for the money. May not think its a smart thing to do but I decided to go to UTI for diesel. Mostly because I remember I was happiest when I was working on cars and earning cash while doing it. I enjoy being a grease monkey. So now I'm in search of a 240z to work on whilst in school. Yes it's good to be back.
Swervey McZCar
Congrats on the life change. As a software developer desk jockey and former grease monkey, I can totally relate. The desk thing will drive you nuts if you can't work on something tangible in your free time. Best of luck to you!
Two80z4me
I tried the corporate world, couldn't handle the BS. Now i'm my own boss being a grease monkey, definitely my favorite lifestyle. I'd rather be happy and have an okay amount of money than depressed and do nothing but work and have money.
zeeboost
Glad to hear I'm not alone. I've been taking classes from '03 to '10 studying medicine / anesthesia, then I started doing internship in the hospital and realized working on people wasn't for me. I told the school I needed to take a break for some me time, and after enough contemplation, opened my own shop. No regrets yet, except for the ridiculous amount of money I lost in school. I like the part where I enjoy going to work though...I'm sure you will too.
CalifaThugz
Glad there's people I can relate to. I thought I was making a bad decision but in the long run I think I'd be more sane and happy. Awesome haha.
