Dingo240 Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 Before i start ive used the search function and cant find anyone with a similar problem. I Got a 72 240z with a 3.1 stroker from a friend a while ago after he gave up on trying to get it to run properly. The car won't rev past 4500rpm in neutral or under load. It has triple weber 40's with a fpr and gauge that shows 3psi when under load. I know he messed around with the timing and synced up the carbs. But other than that we have both been stumped. Any ideas on where to start next? Or what might be a possible solution? Leon Posted February 25, 2012 Share Posted February 25, 2012 If it happens in neutral and under load, I would infer that the problem is ignition related. Make sure that your advance is working, use a timing light for this. I'll actually be in your area (San Mateo) tomorrow afternoon and can possibly come by and take a look. I'll PM you.
