ZAMMM
I am thinking about getting a ebay champion radiator cause there affordable and look decent. Do I need a 3 row or will a 2 row cool fine. I have a l28et on a stand right now and plan on doing a efan conversion once I get the turbo motor in. I also live in FL and do not plan on having AC in the car when I do the swap. Just seeing if I need the 3 row or not from your experiance
aarang
Just put a three row Champion in my ZXT. Works great so far with two Spal fans with a shroud. I would stick with the three row as the tubes in them are pretty small. The two row just has less of them.
Kash
you can't over cool in Fl...go with the three row.
roger280zx
Has anybody tried the 4 row. It looks hard to beat for the $$$.
SleeperZ
As far as I could tell all the cores were the same thickness. I got a 2 row because I thought it might be thinner and give more clearance for my electric fans, but it was the same as the 4 row copper radiator I pulled out. It cools great; I doubt the number of rows has much bearing on cooling ability, that is the amount of coolant and thickness/surface area of the core are the main factors. Edit: I am going to correct myself a little bit. The core thickness may in fact be thinner for the 2 row over the 3 row, it's the tank thickness that is the same. There may not be any reason at all to get a 2 row, unless you have restricted airflow, like a full size intercooler in front.
